I understand that others feel she is somewhat of a saleswoman-- and I have a small sense of this, but I definitely feel that she has the best intentions. After talking to dentists in my family (my uncle is practicing and my brother-in-law will be soon), we determined that Deborah Tabb is simply trying to bill both the patient and insurance for as much as possible. In addition, she is smart enough to avoid damaging her ZocDoc rating. Her technique was to cancel the appointment I booked for her through the ZocDoc, and then affirm the appointment when I called in.

The facility itself is outdated and unwelcoming, which only added to the negative experience. The only positive part of this visit was the nursing staff. The nurse assisting me was incredibly kind, professional, and even apologized on his behalf, which says a lot. She did her best to make me feel comfortable despite his behavior. Katie who used to be at front desk was great but gone now too. I am being charged $6k for round 2 of Invisalign after 20 years of dental work, my previous retainers no longer fit. Dr Tabb doesn't remeber this but she told me a couple of years before I got started on this round that it would be $4500 for Invisalign, not $6k. Quality overall good but twice I have had to come back for extra work when temp crown kept coming off and then "buttons" placed inside my mouth to hold the Invisalign trays wer so rough they greatly irritated the inside of my mouth and needed to be filed down to be tolerated. I do think they are expensive though, so now with Tabb retired I am tempted to check out other dentists in area, especially since my Kaiser Medicare plan includes Liberty Dental insurance. I have been a patient of Tabb for about 6 yeats now and I have needed extensive dental work, paying about $20k a year for the last few. Dental insurance covers so little it is almost a joke, and Tabb agreed but saif my Aetna was the best of them. $1500 a year for insurance reimbursements doesn't go very far.

He took the time to explain all of my options and didn't push when I opted to go the no sedation route. The procedure was quick and painless. He checked in with me throughout to make sure I was doing well. He followed up afterwards with his cell number in case of any after-hour needs. Really above and beyond all expectations!
