I was told my hair could look exactly like I wanted. Almost $500, two seperate visits and 14 hours it looks nothing at all like I wanted. Even though I was guaranteed a result and they did not deliver anything close to it they refuse a refund of any kind, only offer credit to their salon. I requested a bright purple ombre/lived in type color. No color on my roots. I have very long hair that is a darker brown. I showed my stylist Lexie many photos of what I was looking for and she was very confident that she could do this to my hair saying to me "believe me when I say I can do this". I made the appointment. After the first appointment my hair was very dark, and had the slightest tint of very dark purple. I was told tomorrow when it is daylight it should be brighter. Tomorrow came and my hair was very dark almost black. I spoke with my stylist who said that she misunderstood what I was looking for, I then showed her a photo of hair she had personally done and trying to be more clear of what I wanted showed her that next to the color I wanted. She responded by telling me I now had the perfect starting point and if I came in a second time that she could definitely get my hair to where I wanted and I would just have to pay for product used. I trusted her and made a second appointment. After my second appointment my hair is even darker, you can see zero purple from the back, there is some color underneath like a peek-a-boo, with a bright "money piece" in the front of my head all the way up to my roots which i never asked for at all. I spent a total of $480 and my hair looks NOTHING like I wanted. I called to speak with the manager who told me "well your hair can not be that color" Which if this is the case I should have been made aware of that prior to spending $480 not after, i wasn't even told it was a possibility to not be that color my stylist guaranteed she could do it twice!. I then spoke with the owner on a friday and she said she would take the weekend and call me back Monday and we could try to find a solution and maybe meet in the middle somewhere as I told her I wasnt comfortable coming in a third time and wanted some kind of a refund so I could try to get my hair the color that I actually want it to be. Monday came and went and I heard nothing and then tuesday as well. I emailed the salon on Wednesday and ended up calling on Thursday. The owner told me that she will not refund me she will give me credit to her salon of $150 and that my hair looks beautiful and that how it turned out is subjective. (it is not subjective it looks nothing at all like the images I showed my stylist) Accused me of having previous dye on my hair when there was none and told me she would talk to her stylist about how she promised me my hair would be what I wanted. No way of actually trying to "meet me in the middle" as she had said . I feel I was completely robbed by this salon, if I had been told at the beginning there was a possibility they couldn't get my hair this color I wouldn't have gone in the first place. This place is a hidden gem. I have been looking for a spa that does everything and at affordable prices. This visit I got a 60 min massage with Deb and a microdermabrasion. Deb was amazing! I truly enjoyed the massage. I actually fell asleep(which is unusual for me). Even though she was running late she did not cut into my massage-which I really liked. Next I had my microdermabrasion. I was a little less impressed with this but it was still a good one. I had a place that spoiled me so I doubt anything will cone close to that. But still a good microdermabrasion. The room for the massage was perfect. Not too hot or cold. The microdermabrasion was a little uncomfortable for me but I think that's because I just came from an awesome massage. This was one of the best, most thoughtful massages I have had. I was late (per usual) and Lois stuck around after we exchanged a few calls and determined that I had chosen the worst possible route for that time of day and that I would be there 'eventually'. The spot is a little difficult to find (Bethel Park location) - there is a building on the even numbererd sign of the road with a big "88"; Chaney's is directly across the street under an Italian restaurant. Plenty of parking. Its a small little spot with what looks like maybe two massage rooms. I loved the music and actually meant to ask what the CD was because it was totally engaging. The massage was a full 60 minutes, and she definitely focused on the areas of concern I had mentioned. She was diligent in ensuring that I was comfortable and the level of pressure was appropriate. It was really all that you could expect from a quality massage experience. Prices are reasonable too - I had a Groupon (remember to tip on the full price!!) but 60 minute sessions are normally $65. They do memberships, senior and student specials, and family/guest passes as well. read more

I have had numerous massages at Chaney's and they seem to get better each time I go. The staff at Chaney's is great and the atmosphere is second to none. They are very flexible with scheduling appointments and run a lot of specials at different parts of the year. They provide many different services. This massage is definitely money well spent. I had a pedicure here last week. The pedicure itself wasn't terrible, but they advertise that they have a spa-like atmosphere and didn't even have pedi chairs with the foot baths attached like most pedicure places have. They used a plastic portable tub to soak the feet in, which was very un-spa like. I was very disappointed. For $47, I expected more, and to be more relaxed. One of the employees' kid was wandering around, too, which made it even less relaxing. I'll just stick to a regular nail place from now on. read more

Appalled at the way I was treated. First, the receptionist mistakenly scheduled me for an appointment in the past (which I'm surprised the system even let her do). I went out of my way to try this place (from the Google Offer) and hoped it could be my new massage place despite the distance. When I arrived the massage therapists helped me figure out what had happened, but they were both booked so they had to send me away with no massage or anything else. They were very kind about it and I understand they could not do anything. I also understand sometimes mistakes happen and would've been okay with the situation if they had just apologized and offered something for my troubles. However, no apology or follow-up happened. I emailed about the situation to make sure they knew and never received a response (despite the quick responses prior to my appointment). So, I guess the philosophy is if you ignore a problem it goes away. Unbelievable that a place for your health and therapy would treat someone this way regardless of how good the therapists are (which I never had the chance to find out). Thankfully, Google Offers was good about it and refunded my voucher. read more
