I enjoy my time at the spa. I've been to several day spas all over and I would call Wild Orange…read moreSpa an average establishment. I go to day spas with the knowledge that the service is much more involved than that of a lash bar, nail salon or massage parlor. With that knowledge, the prices and minimum standards I have are much higher. The not-so-good: When you first enter the building, it's nice but in my opinion a little too chaotic. It's been my experience that the reception area usually flows very well. My first visit, I walked in and there were several people waiting in line to pay. I browsed around the entrance and they have several things for sale, lotions, hair stuff and whatnot. It was a little odd to me that there were two or three stands displaying products that were kind of in the middle of nowhere. It seemed like things were located upstairs. I wasn't greeted (again, the front desk person was helping other people) but I just decided to go upstairs where there is another area to check-in for spa services. The good: 1. When I went in to the upstairs spa check-in area, the environment completely changed into something more relaxing. 2. The lounge is equipped with snacks and drinks with a TV on mute. 3. The shower area is also pretty nice. The system is pretty typical, get changed, climb into a robe, leave your belongings in the locker. Two changing rooms are available 4. There is a steam room which was great and also two over-sized showers with MorocconOil products (side note, I love that styling cream, I'm probably going to be a Kerastase convert) 5. For after care there is spray deodorant, a blow dryer, some hair products, hair elastics. The only think missing was brushes/combs (many places have two containers, one for clean and one for used brushes/combs) Miscellaneous tips: Beyond that the location is good, it's very easy to find. I must have picked a perfect time to go because I had absolutely no difficulties finding parking. The parking lot was actually pretty empty. It's probably a good idea to get there early so you can use the steam room and take your time getting ready. I would say at absolute minimum, you should probably arrive 15 minutes early. After my body-treatment, I took my time getting ready so I ended up being there for about 2 hours, half the time I was in the lounge and it was relaxing. The overall experience was good and I would most definitely return in the future to try out more of their services.

My boyfriend and I came in on Friday Jan 2nd for a couples massage and it thought I would tell you…read moreabout our experience. We went to the Yale Court location, and were looking forward to our massages. When we walked in we were welcomed with smiles, the staff were super friendly. Then we were told to have a seat and wait, seemed a bit odd to be at a "spa" and have to sit in the main entrance with no music and where you can hear the receptionist talking on the phone to clients. This wasn't a relaxing atmosphere. Then we were brought down to the couples room, we noticed outside the couples room was a nice waiting area and wondered why we weren't brought there to wait. I noticed that the massage tables weren't very comfortable and that instead of a nice cover for the head rest it was just a scratchy towel. We booked an 1hour massage, by the time we were retrieved from the waiting room and brought to the room we feel that this was only a 45minute massage. The girls took quite some time to come back to the room once we were changed, I got a bit antsy having to wait so long. Once the girls came back they started to massage us, my boyfriend mentioned that his masseuse didn't keep the same pressure throughout the massage and wouldn't go any higher than half way up his thigh. This was a concern for my boyfriend as he has damage to his muscle tissue (outside side of the thigh) due to a previous accident and was looking forward to having it massaged. My masseuse only massaged one of my knees and didn't keep the same pressure throughout the massage. The atmosphere in the room wasn't any better than the "waiting room". The music was definitely not what I would have picked for a spa (my heart goes on was playing at one point), the lighting was very bright and there was no dimmer switch to change this. The room was quite cold as well. Also, the flooring is tile in the massage room, but the girls have chairs that have wheels on them and make A LOT of noise when they moved. Honestly, I was not relaxed at all. When we flipped over to lay on our back, after the massage was done my boyfriend's masseuse just ripped off the towel covering his eyes and it was instant light for him. Not a good way to end a massage. We were told that when we came out they would be there with water waiting for us, we came out of the room no one was there. There was however two glasses of water sitting on a table just down the hall, honestly I had no idea they were for us. When we drank the water, it had no garnish (lemon, cucumber, mint) and was luke warm clearly straight from the tap. This may seem a bit picky, but when I come out of a massage I prefer a cold glass of water to quench my thirst and have had this in previous spa experiences. I am hoping that by telling you all of this, you can work with this location to improve and become a better spa. I probably will not visit this location again. This was a Christmas present for my boyfriend, and I was not impressed at all. I paid quite a bit of money for not a good experience. I sent the above in email form to Soft Touch Day Spa and got NO ANSWER! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I WILL NOT BE VISITING EITHER LOCATION. I AM SO BEYOND DISAPPOINTED THAT NO ONE COULD TAKE TWO MINUTES OUT OF THEIR DAY TO ADDRESS MY CONCERNS. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Based on our experience, the massage felt unstructured and inconsistent, and hot towels were placed on our bodies without any warning, which we found uncomfortable. The spa advertises couples massages, but we were placed in separate rooms. We also booked a 60-minute massage, but our session lasted only about 45 minutes because it started late. The ladies were friendly, but we did not feel the massage met our expectations. It mostly consisted of oil being rubbed on our bodies, and when we asked for more pressure, we were told, "This is a relaxation massage." We found that response frustrating. Although we were disappointed, we didn't want to be rude, so we tipped anyway. Based on our personal experience, this was not the relaxing massage we were expecting, and we did not feel it was good value for the price. We won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to our friends or family.
