I called Shawn when I was looking for someone to install a new chandelier. I originally planned to try and do this myself, because I am pretty handy and love to challenge myself with new tasks. My ceiling in the foyer is 18ft so a normal ladder wouldn't work. I went to HD to rent scaffolding for the project(which also required renting a truck due to size of scaffolding). After looking at all the pieces needed to assemble the scaffolding, I figured I'd get in Yelp to try and find out how much it costs to have someone else install. Shawn just happened to be the first person I called and was very helpful. He even had a slot open the next day to install for me. After he told me the price I was a little shocked. He explained his process and what was involved in installing a fixture that high. Renting the scaffolding was looking more appealing to me at this point. I explained I wanted to call around to get other quotes. Most of those quotes were in line with Shawn's but none of them could do an 18ft ceIling. When I added up he cost to rent the truck, scaffolding, and my time, I decided to just have it installed. Not to mention the danger of me being that high. Shawn showed up the next morning and was early for our appt (which was great). He was very pleasant and had his own scaffolding that he used to install the light. He was done in no time and the light looks great. He is jack of all trades and literally knows how to do so many things. If you are in need of a chandelier installation, Shawn is the man to call. I had a fairly tricky install of a chandelier that was 100+ pounds in a 20 foot high foyer. Shawn confidently explained how it needed to be hung, including reinforcing securely in the attic, with safety as the first priority.
