I was a little apprehensive the first time I went, but Sarah is a terrific teacher & quickly alleviated the anxiety I had about not knowing how to paint! All of the supplies are included in your event fee, so you just show up, sit down & get to painting! Both of the events I attended were at local restaurants, so my friends & I ordered some food (and wine!) to enjoy while we painted! In addition to being a very talented artist, it's obvious Sarah is comfortable working with all types of people! There were over fifteen people in the first party I attended & I was thoroughly impressed with Sarah's ability to instruct such a large group & provide individual assistance to everyone throughout the evening. Joy maintains a quaint litte art studio in The Heights in Hood River…read more Recently, my wife reserved Joy's studio for my daughter's six year old birthday party, since she loves all things art related. My daughter and all her friends had a fantastic and really fun time painting their unicorns. The girls had approximately 2 hours to paint, and it felt like the perfect amount of time for what was needed. Additionally, for all that the girls got to do and for this unique birthday party experience, the overall price was very reasonable. We'll definitely have to keep Joy's Art Studio in mind for future parties and activities.
