This place is amazing! The shop/outdoor rental place is in a barn across the road from the river and although it looks like a good size from the outside, I was blown away when I went in. Kayaks and bicycles can be rented by the day, and inner tubes and pumps purchased, taking care of river recreation needs. But allow a LOT of extra time for shopping in the rest of the store when you return your gear-- the rest of the 6,000 square feet of renovated barn is chock full of fun gifts, books, clothing, outdoor gear, backpacks, water shoes, jewelry, cute housewares and all sorts of upscale souvenirs to the point where I could have spent the entire day browsing. They also have a partnership with local nature organization supporting the Sourlands, so there is a good cause to support while shopping, and some interesting local guides available in the book section. In the age of internet retail, having a place like this to explore is priceless (although I think they also do internet sales and gift baskets too). Will definitely be back, hopefully very soon.

After reading some unfavorable reviews on TripAdvisor from 2025, I was a little worried about what…read morewe would encounter during our visit yesterday. As it turned out, the experience could not have been more positive! It's a beautiful and well-maintained property with ample parking. The alpaca stables (males in one, females in the other) were very clean, and the 26 alpacas are clearly loved and cared for. They were gorgeous, friendly, and healthy. The staff, mostly (if not all) volunteers, were lovely, from the young adult (late teens, early 20s) guides who accompanied us on the 20-minute walk with our assigned alpacas, to the senior ladies working in the gift shop. The gift shop has a wide range of lavender and alpaca wool products, as well as related themed products. I would up spending $36 on a variety of items, some of which were perfect, low-cost gifts. In response to the TripAdvisor complaints about items being "expensive," I found the prices to be reasonable and normal for homemade, hand-made, and locally sourced items, as well as for specialty items made elsewhere. I can't say enough positive things about the guides who accompanied my friend and I on the walk, and the young man who gave the entire group on our scheduled walk the preliminary background information about the alpacas and what we might expect on the walk. They did an excellent job and were very friendly and helpful. At the end of the walk they make time for pictures to be taken, and the animals seem to know the drill quite well because they obliged without a fuss on a very hot day. Overall I give this experience a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it for all ages.

In this store you will find, jewelry, knitted items, incense, essential oils, candles, trinkets, decor, wood carvings, dream catchers, etc. The owner has been traveling the world for over 20 plus years and brings back many of these items to sell. She has established many coops in these countries and donates part of the profits. I was told this by the kind gentleman volunteer who was manning the store for her. There are many interesting items you can buy for yourself or give as inexpensive gifts. The prices here aren't too bad. There is a minimum of $10 for c.c. purchase. This store is hard to find as is tucked away in an alley on spring street. Even if not purchasing anything it's also a cool store to just to poke around.

Very small shop, but packed with all kinds of amazing handcrafted jewelry, hippie-esque clothing and handbags, incense and spiritual items (i don't know how else to describe it!). In school, we were always annoyed at there "only 2 people under 18 allowed in at once" rule, but now as an adult, I see why. i honestly think this place helped me shape my whole "look" (if you can call it that) -- after buying numerous poison rings, boxes of Nag Champa, and hand woven purses there, i credit them for making me the pseudo-hippie i am today :) and while you're there, go 2 doors down to Chucks for some killer wings :) can't miss!

Lo and behold, as you come in, what welcomes you is the serene ambiance of almost "home", minus the smell of home cooking or popcorn. The place is packed with very tastefully curated items from handcrafted "reclaimed lumber" to Villeroy & Boch and other very interesting finds. Even the bathroom which I perused after a long drive looked great and well appointed. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and cordial. The very dapper looking gentleman (I presumed is the owner) was very attentive and hands on with his assistance on the product I was interested in. He answered all my questions and seemed really knowledgeable. Though quite a distance from home, it will be goodbye to the mall at Short Hills and hello to The Homestead at Princeton when it's time to redecorate. Pricing ranges from expensive to affordable. Well, depending on your taste, budget and aesthetics The place gave me the shivers (positive). If I was a leaf, I would be shaking. The place is marvelous. The dapper gentleman and young lady was a delight. Thank you for the shopping experience.
