Dicks is always a great place to find your sporting goods and your athletic apparel. My kids love…read moreto beg to come here. Even when I say they can't get anything they don't mind just coming to browse for when they do need new equipment and apparel. The prices can be a bit shocking on some items but they do run sales, which I find great buys. The service can be a hit or miss but you will always be able to find someone to help. They seem to always be fully staffed.

Okay, I'm officially hyped. I've lived in Southern Maryland long enough to know that getting my…read morehands on quality tennis gear meant a drive up to Rockville or Baltimore or doing the online dance between Tennis Warehouse or Tennis Express . But no more! The Dick's Sporting Goods in Waldorf has officially stepped up their game, especially in the shoe department. They're now carrying some serious footwear for athletes... shoes like Hoka, Lotto, Prince, and more! Whether you're out on the tennis court or playing pickleball, you no longer have to leave SOMD to find the right kicks. I'm talking real performance shoes, not just your typical gym shoes. If you're looking for shoes that actually support your game and you live in SOMD, this is the spot. Big shoutout to Tavion (or was it Trayvon? My sincerest apologies if I got it wrong!) for being so knowledgeable and taking the time to walk me through their massive selection. He was super helpful and really seemed to know his stuff. I'm one of the many tennis players that dwell in SOMD, and we needed a better local provider. And while their tennis equipment selection may not rival that of a dedicated pro shop, it's more than enough for beginners and intermediate players. Plenty of rackets, balls, and accessories to get your game going without breaking the bank. All in all, I'm seriously impressed with what Dick's Sporting Goods in Waldorf has done here. Great shoes, helpful staff, and solid options for casual athletes. If you're in the area and need to gear up, save yourself the trip, and just head to Waldorf and thank me later. My rating of 4 stars is to allow room for a more dedicated tennis/pickleball department, similar to that of their gold department. Recommendation level: Absolutely check them out. You will be pleasantly surprised! #ShoesOnFire #TennisReady

However, the first time I tried to use the scope, the sight reticle inside the scope was broken. I took it back within the same week purchased and asked for a replacement or refund. They said it was a warranty issue and I had to deal with the manufacture. I contacted the manufacture, and they said no problem - just return it to where I bought it and they would work with them. I did so, and again got a run around without resolving the problem. So much for good customer service. Ended up going to another reputable gun shop where they gave me a replacement without giving me a hard time and said they would deal with the manufacture.

I was up in the air between 2 types of guns I wanted to buy and the gentleman was very kind, knowledgable and had great points of view to help me decide. He gave me several things to go home and think about which I liked. Did not try to hard sell me on what he thought just answered my questions and made several suggestions. Ultimately I went back the next day and made my purchase. Sadly the gentleman was not there but the sales associate that helped me was just as nice and answered any follow up questions I had. Was able to purchase the gun I choose and was on my way in 30 minutes! Background and everything. Now that is great service! If I could add one more thing. I have seen a couple reviews insinuating that they didn't get the service they expected because they were "woman" never did I feel anyone had an issue with me either day or actually anytime I have been there looking. Everyone was great to the ladies who greeted me at the door and rang me up for my purchase to the guys at the counter. Looking forward to taking their HQL course and buying my handgun this summer!

I explained this to the man behind the counter, and he immediately understood my concerns about the differences in laws and procedures. He took the time to walk me through the entire process, answered all of my questions clearly, and remained patient and helpful as I looked at multiple options. The cashier was also friendly and efficient, which made the rest of the experience smooth and hassle-free. That said, I want to acknowledge that months ago, I stopped by to ask some general questions and had a very different experience. The women working the back counter at the time were rude and unhelpful, which left a bad impression. So I understand why some of the negative reviews exist and I'd also be cautious of overly glowing reviews from other users with no review history. In short, Fred's may be hit or miss depending on who helps you, but this visit when I was ready to make a purchase was quick, painless, and left me with no complaints. Based on this latest experience, I will return for additional purchases.

This 980,418 square foot mall is located in Waldorf, MD. It was built in 1990. As you would expect,…read morethere is tons of parking available. It is managed by the Simon Property Group that manages many malls across the country. The mall is home to over 120 stores and has Dick's Sporting Goods, J. C. Penney, Kohl's, Macy's, and Macy's Home Store. as it anchors. I visited this mall on a Thursday night in mid-December and it was. pretty empty. Santa Claus was there though. What stuck out to me the most about the mall was how clean it was. It was very clean and updated. It had a play area for kids and you will find stores such as Yankee Candle, Bath & Body Works, GameStop, Build a Bear, Foot Locker, Journey, Hot Topic, Spencer's, The Children's Place, Pandora, Zales, Finish Line, Claires, Sip and Paint and Victoria's Secret. There is also an AMC movie theater, a selfie museum and post office there too. It should be noted that the Charles County Government plans on opening a Sports and Wellness complex in the old Sears location very soon. The opening date has not been announced yet. In addition to a vistit from Santa the mall hosts the Easter Bunny, Financial Workshop for Children, Animal Shelter Pet Adoptions, Maryland Kids in Safety Seats event, Game nights and hiring events. You will find a fair selection of eateries that feature America's Best Wings, Charley's, Auntie Annes, Sabarro, Ocean Blue Grill, Jeff's Burgers, Haagen-Dazs, Asian Chao and Cinnabon. I will admit that the mall has a well documented history of thefts, and violent acts including shootings and stabbings, but I did not feel unsafe during my visit. In a time when malls are dying, I like this one. It is easily accessible (by car and public transit), has all my favorite mall stores and eateries and is very clean and updated. I would recommend checking this mall out.

Yep, tire flat. So I jump online to figure out what time this bike shop opens, 11AM. I call in case they do a seasonal shutdown and they confirm they are open for business. We are promptly served, about 5 folks working upfront. We are in/out within 30 minutes with a new tire tube installed plus some advice on future service I will need after I request an inspection for other defects. So I suspect I'll take my bike back at the end of this riding season or early Spring 2025. Their inventory is awesome. There was a customized none-motorized bike upfront waiting for pickup that cost $8K. Mine blowing! They have lots of e-bike too. They have lots of bikes, period. They have a small 2 seat waiting area with coffee service. I bought my bike from them, many moons ago and she's still in pretty good shape(except from being dirty I was told with a smile). The recommended future service stuff is low cost routine maintenance type stuff IMO.
