I brought it into the store and the same style did the same thing in front of the manager. She said I wasn't zipping the coat up properly and then tried to give me the lowest refund possible even after presenting her with the card we used to purchase originally for processing the refund. This coat screwed me in NYC and Chicago when I really needed the zipper to work. Frustration with the product and service (lack thereof after) is an understatement. So much for "lifetime guarantee". And I'm pretty sure I know how to zip up a coat. And I keep coming back for more insanity. I reluctantly go on the site to replace the coat with my credit for another trip to Chicago, paid expedited shipping only to learn because I ordered it on a Sunday and it confirmed receipt by Tuesday it really meant 2-3 days the CSR said so I SHOULD have it by tomorrow. I get to the checkout and guy rings me up at full price for both. Tells me its now a spring buy one/get on 50 off sale. There's a tag on the shoe. The tag is so small I could not read it. NO sandals are included in the sale. Who has a spring sale and excludes sandals, what you wear in the spring? Then I found a $10 off coupon that I got last week. After ringing me up I ask the guy if he took off the $10 and he said he couldnt get it to work. Doesn't tell me before I gave him my money. Apparently too busy to bother helping a customer. So theyve changed their sale of buy one get one free (which has been forever) to Buy one get one free occasionally. That's just wrong.

I was able to get in and out in less then twenty minutes. They can scan the shoes and tell you whether or not they have your size in stock. The service here was great and the store is well lit and very clean. The major difference with a house of hoops store is they often carry a larger variety of colorways that many other stores just don't seem to have. They also have tons of accessories if that's your type of thing. You can always find those hard to find exclusive releases here and they have a points based card also. Once you spend over certain amounts they will mail you coupons to save on your future purchases.

The store was not too crowded so we were able to leisurely browse and really take in everything in the store. The selection is outstanding. if they don't have something related to camping or outdoor life, it does not exist. This trip the wife was looking for some shoes while the kid and I looked at everything else. She enjoyed checking out the tents and sleeping bags. She rode on one of the bikes. We would not have to pay, unless we decided to purchase. When I realized that they never called to let us know that the shoes had arrived, I called. They didn't find the order and it doesn't seem that the shoes arrived and were simply put back in stock. Their suggestion, "Perhaps you should order them online." Considering it was a large order, I would hope that they would have expedited an order for me to their store. Dealing with having to find wide width shoes is hard. Stores often don't keep them in stock. So, you are left guessing on whether the shoes fit and dealing with the returns when they don't. If I wanted to go through the same routine of buying and returning shoes that I ordered online, I would not have driven 45 minutes out of my way in traffic to go to the store in the first place. I am disappointed in the store's lack of service. If they weren't going to fulfill the order, they shouldn't have offered to take it.
