Or someone like me that was a bit rusty can feel comfortable going around the rink at their own pace. I didn't go to snack bar- I was too focused on skating. I will tell you to size down one size if you rent skates as they do run big. My one complaint is they don't resurface the ice as frequently as the ice rink I've visited in NY. The staff was very kind and shared excitement with me that my daughter's birthday was approaching in a few weeks. This can definitely become a regular family adventure despite it being about 20 miles from home. And it's affordable!

The LearnToSkate program is from 9:15-11:15, which overlaps with Adult Skate from 10:00-11:15. Peter tried to make me to pay twice for the Adult Skate program even though I was already enrolled in a program that included that session. He loudly accused me in front of the entire rink multiple times for not registering, even though I had. Then, when I asked a clarification question about skating policy, he laughed at me and was extremely condescending. I felt like I was being targeted because I was a minority there. During my experience with him, instead of being patient and understanding, he was confrontational and extremely unprofessional, purposefully trying to publicly humiliate those unfamiliar with rink policies. I am very disappointed about my experience and hope I never have a run-in like that again. The rest of the staff is great, however, and helped resolve the issue right away.

I go to this gym a few times a week and I still enjoy it. I think one thing that intimidates people about joining a gym is that they're a little afraid of the other people there. People seem to be afraid of being judged for their level of fitness, etc. Everyone on the staff is really, really nice. You will see people of all shapes, sizes, and ages working out here. Of course in the weight room you're going to see those big, muscular guys. Sometimes they grunt when they're lifting heavy stuff, and it can seem intimidating to be working out near them. But as someone who started lifting weights last year, I can tell you that those guys are really, really nice. Everyone will leave you alone to work out, but if you need any help or have any questions about how to do something, go ahead and ask one of those guys if you can't find a trainer. They're way more than happy to answer questions. They're very friendly. And the smoothies are great. :)

It would be nice if they got a Jumbotron so you could see instant replays of the goals. Overall, pretty solid rink for a small school. A good winter activity for kids to burn all that energy. They have milk crates to lean on for beginners which I relied on heavily else I'm quite certain I'd break a hip. Gladly it wasn't too crowded. What fun! we'll be back next week and I'll surely sign up for lessons next year.

DO NOT COME HERE!! If I could put zero stars I would. I coach figure skating at this establishment…read moreand it is not enjoyable in the slightest. Not only is freestyle filled with hockey players but the hockey players are disruptive and obnoxious, they fill the whole ice and caused a couple other people and I to almost fall because they got way too close. They also give rude looks and act like they own the ice. They have no regard for figure skaters. If you are a figure skater I highly suggest going to another rink, because this one barely has any freestyle time and when there is freestyle hockey players take up the whole ice. Not only that but I was not able to stay in the parking lot because one of the staff forced me to leave. Now I have to park in the parking lots of surrounding areas and WALK to the rink if I want to skate. This is no way for a coach to be treated, I also have to feel nervous to walk into the rink because of said hostile staff member. Furthermore the said staff member stated that he was "watching me" which makes me feel very uncomfortable, this is directly a violation of my privacy and as a female I feel nervous to go back knowing that I will be watched. I did absolutely nothing wrong and said staff member chased me out of the parking lot and continued to watch me. Also if you want to come to this rink(I highly suggest you don't) do not park in their parking lot, it is filled with potholes and is a danger to cars. As a figure skater and coach I do not feel welcome. Their restrooms are also horrible, most of the stalls don't close properly and are blocked by the toilet paper dispensers, only one sink works and there is only ever cold water that comes out of the sink. There is also profanity written and scratched into the walls. And upon entering into the main section of the rink there is an unpleasant odor. I have also complained via email however I never get a response. I do not feel welcome when I go to this rink and honestly I have no reason to go anymore. It is far from my home and I could have way better experiences at other establishments. My whole experience has been horrible, and all of the staff seem unwelcoming, not only that but it is a mainly hockey establishment, and does not take too kindly to figure skaters. I also talked to my friend about their experience at this rink and they described their experience similar to mine. They were wrongfully told off, and they have many complaints about the hockey players on the ice. I have also heard other people complain too. Overall do not come here or bring your kids to skate here, it is a horrible place to go, and you can find other rinks with way more friendly staff who welcome figure skaters.
