We came here with a group of our girl scouts for an event that was said to be a special one for them. There was only one thing that it made it special for them, face painting but nothing else that signified that it was a girl scout event. Nonetheless, the girls still had a lot of fun. What we like about this place is that they rent the training walkers for younger kids that aren't good on skates yet. They have a place to grab a quick bite and a drink, laser tag, a play climber, and an arcade. I was really surprised at the extra cost for the play climber - it is nothing fancy or super fun and should really be included in the entry price since it is right next to the skating floor.

Sadly the new management has desecrated the once prolific program and we are now forced to travel to Springfield for ice time with her coach that was forced out. Community doesn't mean just hockey! This was my first time, I came so unprepared and my feet and hands were cramping of the cold by the end of it all. Nonetheless, we had a great time. Few hours every Sunday afternoon are scheduled for public skating (look up calendar)... was quite reasonably priced @ $10 (including skate rentals) for 1.5hrs. A good winter activity for kids to burn all that energy. They have milk crates to lean on for beginners which I relied on heavily else I'm quite certain I'd break a hip. Gladly it wasn't too crowded.
