Worse Regional Manager. let me start by saying we have gone there for 3 yrs as snowbirds. This year was the worse and we will not be going back next year. They brought it a Regional Manager Janine, and the place has gone downhill ever since. No more food trucks, limited activities, and now having to pay for any arts and crafts. This was a luxury resort, but not anymore. The sites are great, pool is nice and pickleball courts are always being used in the mornings. But when you take away all the little extras, it slowly goes downhill. Hopefully the owners will figure out how to correct these things and people will return read more

I would not stay here if they paid me. Their employees, policies and customer service is horrible. Read the reviews and you will see. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Lots of places around there to stay. read more

This place is a Karen's paradise the night I arrived one lady in a classic Karen cut walked by our RV 4-5 times with her phone held up in a very obvious manner recording and or taking photos of our RV which is already uncomfortable and weird but then the next morning (we had already paid for 2 nights) they said our rig was too big even though not a single part of our RV was in the road or on the grass so they said we can't stay there that night and we asked for a refund to which the owner decided to be totally disrespectful and rude This place is a scam don't stay here if you like peace of mind privacy or not getting scammed even worse it's so heartless because all I wanted to do was see my mom one last time read more

Website is down and who knows when it will be up. Tiki bar and grill are never open...what is going on? Megan is the only knowledgeable staff member left while replacements need classes in customer service. Our four month stay started out perfect and has increasingly gone down hill. To top it off, the sites are infested with ants. Management should make an effort to clean up and treat the grass with ant and bug treatments. BBQ gets covered with ants after it cools off...never experienced this anywhere. Too bad, the sites are spacious and on concrete pads what a shame... read more

My husband, son, and I spent the weekend here and had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed 4 nights at the RV resort. We arrived after 7 pm, the gate was closed so we had to call the after-hours number. Someone answered promptly, and a couple of employees were driving around in a gold cart and let us in and even guided us to our site. Check out was through text and was easy. The resort is clean and quiet, and every spot can fit a full class A motor home, so there is no worrying that they might not have a spot to accommodate your rig. The resort had a large pool, tiki bar, office with a pool table, ping pong, games, and an exercise room. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of order during our stay. Everything else seemed to be in good working order. I thought it was really convenient that they will pick up your trash as long as you set it by the street by 10 am. Rating from F to A +++. We had a nice stay during opening weekend and July 4th. This RV is conveniently located off 75 in Ocala and in only 10min from the World Equestrian Center. The RV spot is very nice as you would expect for a brand new park: full hook ups but the star is the extra large concrete pad. If you get a premium spot you will also get an excellent grill and a paver area for your picnic table. One big negative for me: your neighbors black hook up is mere feet from my picnic table (see pic)! The club house is large but I didn't find it very exciting. It does have a very nice gym. The pool bath only has one shower. The tiki hut is very nice but there is no tiki bar as advertised on the website. There is also no rock feature at the pool which is on their website. When I asked staff about these discrepancies they said they share booking with a sister RV park which has different amenities. I said well that's going to be a problem because it very clearly seems that those amenities are for this park! They have 4 pickle ball courts, bouchée ball, shuffle board, corn hole, pool and 2 giant jacuzzis. I will say the park was only 1/4 full but the pool was pretty full so that could be an issue for them in the future once they are fully operational. (A large portion of the park is still under construction and only about 1/4 of spots were open for camping). There are also 2 very nice fire pits. Sadly there is no plans for a playground. Over it's a very nice RV park and we would stay here again. read more

Beautiful resort. Very clean, the pool is awesome. But severely understaffed. The bar opened late or didn't open at when it said it would be open. The store never has someone working. And the cafe only had 1 person working, it took 45 minutes for a quesadilla. We loved this place but it needs more staff! For how well maintained it is it really needs more people working to make it flow better read more

we stayed here for two weeks. Very well kept and maintained. all the workers were so polite and kind. the place was very up to date and clean. amenities were the best part- cafe, pool table, ping pong, firepits, pool, clubhouse, pickle ball, mini golf, and tiki bar. we will be coming back yearly to vacation here. close to Orlando and other cool places. we went to Disney world, universal studios and crystal bay snorkeling with manatee's this time and went to Gainesville to college tour. read more

Stayed here for a week on a tour of the 5 corners of FL. 5 rv resorts in 5 weeks. This was #2, as I write it we have been to 4 so far. Champions Run is well, new, and clearly needs some seasoning. Not sure if they are going to sell pads and let owners develop them or just stay as full rental forever. Good: 1. All staff friendly and helpful at all levels. 2. Found the usual supply of equally friendly guests. 3. New - large - modern pads with full services. Sites a good size too. 4. Our site (and assume most) had a picnic table on a separate dining pad. 5. Clubhouse pool etc... all new and clean. 6. Laundry and shower rooms new and spread throughout 7. Lots of places to walk and walk dogs. Where it needs to season a little: 1. There is no shade. Anywhere! You are in a farm field. 2. Along those lines above. Nowhere to go once you are there. Not bike or walking friendly outside the park and minimal dining or entertainment options without some driving. 3. Large sites, but at least 1/2 your site is grass and you can't go on it or put anything on it! Something about sprinklers. 4. Lots of sites, so lots of guests, and that means lots of people in the pools and common areas. Lots of kids too. This is not a motor coach only resort. We just didn't have any kids to send out playing! 5. I agree with above that the waste services for your neighbor are right by your picnic table. Kinda odd. If I were going back (wouldn't hesitate if we were back the area for a spell) - I would pick a site along the fence opposite the entrance gate. I think the orientation would have your RV facing North with reasonable tree cover from the southern sun. That way at least you only have part morning sun and the afternoon you are all shaded by your rv. A dining gazebo over the picnic table would solve the plumbing issue. I am guessing they will be planting trees and the park will only get better. read more

We had a wonderful time! We just spent 4 nights there and it was great. Brand new still and everything is not open yet, but it didn't bother us at all. The pool was fantastic! We also had the pleasure of meeting Larry V Lee and Claudia Irving Lee who are doing a wonderful job at ensuring everyone is enjoying theirselves. They greeted us upon arrival and checked in throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. They're excellent at making everyone feel welcome. Wonderful experience:) read more

STOP and review this please as it will help you wish, and we would have known someone in CORP since we got nowhere with the new GM. Shameful and sad to be treated this way as a customer. If you plan to stay here beware of the many things negative that takes place. We stayed here over 9 months ago, and we decided to spend the winter months in Ocala at this park for 2024. We also decided to have an event that turned out well but stressful prior to the check-in day and days after. If it was not for our team and a few staff members such as Linda, Sonia and a sweet couple that worked the bar as well the electrical man it was would have been a horrible situation. At times the GM was nice and easy to work with but her one office Manager was not so easy at all but rather harsh and blunt to customers spending their money to support the park. We really had the worst time when it came to canceling our site months in advance as the original agreement with Champions Run it stated we can get back all monies if we notify in advance. We gave a 2 months' notice. The charged us $730 US dollars $30 of it was for a background check and $500 was for down payment and $200 was for first month electric. We were told that we would only get back the $500 bucks when asked why not $700.00, they stated $200 for electric is also cancellation fee and they get to keep it. Nowhere on the original contract when we booked stated they could do this. So, they said it's a new policy and all was sent an email. I find this illegal to do to anyone. I also find this very sad you will take from others not just us. Also find this underhanded. I will never suggest this place to anyone ever again. The practices are beyond questionable. So, we will be filling something with the BBB. Beware when wanting to stay here for months. After, advising the GM and office Manager we did not know about this, nor advised they stated it was a new process that took place prior to us originally booking. No one from this company notified us of this change and it would have been a deal breaker if we would have been told this at the start back in April 2023. So, BEWARE and look out when always camping here. So, for our site we paid for the electric $200.00 and now the new person will also pay for the electric as well. That's a scam and down right hook and sinker to the customers that look for places to stay at while RVing. stay clear if you are going there because of what you saw on their website. With exception of a blow up slide non of the activities listed on the website happened-no live bands, bingo, corn hole tournaments, etc. the tiki bar is only expensive beer and wine with few vodka basic liquor drinks. No food or snacks. We had a motorhome so going elsewhere wasn't an option. when Food truck did show up it was great but couldn't eat it in the bar-"those are the rules". the Bar closed by 8pm. On Sunday It wasnt due to open 4-8pm. So much for Sunday funday. The pool was too small for the number of people-coded captivity said 82, had to be over 100 people sitting in the water trying to stay cool. Make note that the park was only about 25% full. so we decided to leave a day early. No one in office to tell. when I contacted them on Tuesday about a partial refund. they said they were sorry the website was wrong and they would talk to general manager and get back to me. didnt hear anything back so after a few weeks I contacted again and have done so several times in the past 2 months. i finally got a response email today- email again stated they were sorry but after review and the low rate I paid they aren't going to provide any refund. we went Memorial Day weekend for 2 nights with good Sam discount. About $100. No issue with the check in or spots. Went downhill after that. sad that they didn't think it was worth refunding a Few dollars. We will never stay again and hopefully you won't either. read more
