After scheduling my appointment 2 weeks out they didn't even write me in so when I called to make sure they had the parts I was told no sir we messed up sorry! okay it happens so I asked can you get it done this week I need by Friday and the answer was "NO WE CAN'T ",what a way to resolve your mess up, oh and not to count the fact that my company has already purchased 5 trailers over the pass 2 years! Don't look any further than Champion and make sure to ask for Tony. We looked around for trailers for a few months and didn't have the greatest service from 2 other local tailer companies. We saw Champion on-line and filled out a contact request. Tony called us right away, we completed the financing on-line and were approved within 30 minutes. Tony was available by phone to answer any questions and we came in the next day, picked out our trailer and drove away within an hour. The trailer was perfect and exactly how Tony described it. He even took the time to give us advice on hauling, you could tell he really loves what he does and cares about his customers. Just great customer service all the way around. DO NOT TRUST CHAMPION TO INSTALL YOUR HORSE TRAILER HITCH. Their web page states: Our company wants you to be able to rely on us for all your trailer needs. That's why we endeavor to meet your requirements and give you the ultimate customer satisfaction. . I made the mistake of trusting their purported "expertise" and got blamed when my trailer crashed into the rear of the cab of my truck on short turn. Cab got damaged, rear window shattered and Bob, the owner blamed me. He said I should have known which trailer hitch parts I needed or I should have bought a long bed truck. Aren't they the experts? They installed the hitch so the ball was 21" behind the cab of my truck. That is a more that a foot, short of what is necessary for my gooseneck to clear the cab. And Champion was told that I wanted the hitch for my 19.5', 3 horse slant gooseneck trailer with a 7' loft (over the truck bed). Three other hitch companies knew exactly what was needed for my truck to pull my trailer! I wish I had realized they were the experts, NOT CHAMPION. I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY, AFTER ALMOST $1000.00 IN DAMAGES TO MY TRUCK CAB DUE TO CHAMPIONS FAILURE TO INSTALL THE RIGHT HITCH AND BALL EXTENDERS. This company claims to be experts, then why didn't they know what my truck needed to haul my trailer? And why on earth would they blame the customer for not knowing what hitch equipment was necessary?? This all could have been made right by Champion for less that $500.00. Or HALF of what their mistake cost me. Yet they refused to make it right and blamed me?? So much for their expertise and ultimate customer satisfaction" " I wouldn't trust them to install the hitch now if they offered to do it for a free, i.e. give me a full refund and use the correct parts. read more
