He offered my daughter another review lesson for the road test and went over all skills she needed to know. In addition to that, he offered to take her on an hour practice run right before her official road test with the RMV. Jim made her feel at ease and was also her sponsor for the road test. In the end my daughter passed her road test, and he emphasized that she is indeed a good driver. My daughter is happy and more confident. Im glad I'm able to change I'm first review. Not a lot of companies would have reached out but they did. Definitely would recommend using them for your driving lesson needs. Just remember to have open communication and everything will be good. Yes, children benefit from learning a second language starting at a very young age, but Miriam Amittay, who runs Go Lingo! operates a disorganized and chaotic after school program, that can best be described as expensive babysitting. Because Ms. Amittay has no curriculum, no guidelines, and no plan for teachers, students, and parents, everyone receives different information and those who suffer most are the children. Parents enroll their children expecting top-notch language classes in an after school setting; in reality huge groups of kids are herded into corridors and teachers do their best to control the energy that kids bring after a full day of school. This, of course, could be changed by more coherent curriculum, better communication with teachers, allowing teachers access to plans outlined with parents, and a number of other simple steps. However, Ms. Amittay steadfastly refuses to improve her business practices and seems only to want to increase enrollment. I realize what I am saying could all come off as a diatribe from a former, disgruntled employee. So I'll say this: I left Go Lingo on good terms with Ms. Amittay, as I found another job. I gave her two weeks notice. I am writing this because it is only fair parents really know what they're signing their kids up for. If you want your kids to learn another language, hire a private tutor or enroll them in another immersion program. The comment about disorganization is contrary to my experience, we decided to join several months late and Miriam made it easy for us to sign up the kids. It's a time to unwind, nicely structured (kids are always kept busy) with nice activities such as cooking, chopping apples for a crisp, pumpkin carving, and dancing, all while immersed in Spanish. They provide a quiet, kind and warm environment, exactly what is needed during the time of day when parents are still at work, but feeling guilty for not having the kids at home. The classes are led by experienced teachers who have been parents themselves, and exude a sense that they understand children.

I signed my son up for a science class for homeschooled kindergarteners. First of all, it's *incredibly* expensive. It was several months ago (I should have written this review sooner!) but I think it came to almost $800 for what was probably 10 classes (Sept. thru Nov.). WOW. Even as I'm typing that it seems insane. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting but whatever they did, I guess it wasn't it. They studied the workings of the inner ear for the first few classes and then water quality for the last few. I guess I was expecting something a little bit more 'kindergartenish' - and I don't really mean dumbed down because my son is pretty bright and loves to learn new things, but I just thought this was a bit - beyond? Over the top? Maybe not fun enough? for 5 year olds. I guess I assumed it would be how a baby chick grows or dinosaurs or something 'cool' like outer space that would get them excited about science. Not the workings of the inner ear and water quality. Which leads me to the teacher. Nice enough woman and probably more than qualified (she was a dr. of something) but not what you'd expect for a kindergartner teacher. She was a dr./scientist - and maybe a teacher comfortable with older kids, but I didn't see her as a good fit with small children and making the classroom a fun experience for 5 year olds. As well, I never had any idea what was happening in the classroom as I asked on THREE separate occasions - the teacher and the woman who runs the program - to send me *something / anything* resembling a syllabus for the semester / even just a simple list of what they'd be going over in class, and although I was told it existed and was promised one, I never received one. With this being said, most people probably bring their older children and I can't speak to that experience, but I'd never pay that amount of money again for this course.
