There was no transparency about this upfront and no effort to work through the issue. What made this especially concerning was the timing. This happened after my son had already undergone surgery and before a routine follow-up appointment. We were left scrambling to find another provider on short notice and ultimately had to drive two hours to ensure he received necessary care. CHAMPVA is a straightforward insurer and provides coverage for families of disabled veterans. Based on our experience, it appeared that we were dropped due to reimbursement concerns rather than any issue with coverage itself. Discontinuing care for a child in the middle of treatment under these circumstances felt extremely unprofessional and concerning. This situation created unnecessary stress during a time when continuity of care is critical. I would strongly encourage others to find a more reliable provider before establishing care with this practice.

I can't pronounce Otolaryngology to save my life but that doesn't really matter. I have been to the Springfield and Alexandria offices for issues my mother was having. At this location we were helped by Jorge M. Torrez Montano, PA. The consultation was for my mother's test results. Mr. Montano was brilliant. Before giving my mother her test results he eased her into it. He explained everything slowly and thoroughly. By the end of the appointment having this particular allergy didn't seem to bother my mother as much as I had anticipated. I believe that it had a lot to do with Mr. Montano's bedside manner. The office staff was wonderful as always.

The two flights back wreaked havoc on my ears - during the second flight descending into Dulles - I could not equalize the pressure in my ears through the normal methods (yawning, swallowing, etc.). The insides of my ears felt like they were going to literally explode and I could barely hear anything. Dr. Rhee looked inside my ears, nose - and asked me a few questions, and reviewed the information from the ER doctor from the night before. He asked several key questions while examining me which allowed us to make a reasonable association with some signs of acid reflux and he explained the relationship to both concerns Medication he prescribed resulted in improved sleep, nearly eliminated snoring (attested to by my husband)and better digestion of spicy foods within a week. Life is better! Next, convinced my husband to seek him out due to chronic, unresolved ear infection/allergy issues for which he was treated for 2 YEARS by another ENT in area! Dr. Lee provided similar diagnosis but suggested totally different treatment and my husband's ear issues were resolved within 2 weeks. Wow. What a difference the right care can mean.
