After…read morereading great reviews of Dr. Gardner, I tried to make an appointment last Friday, 3/27/26, but the experience was disappointing. The woman was unkind and unhelpful. As a new patient, I expected that my initial consultation with a knowledgeable doctor would provide ample time to discuss my concerns and allow the doctor to assess my condition thoroughly. Instead, she informed me I would only have 15 minutes to discuss one specific issue, which left me feeling frustrated and hesitant to seek care at this office. That makes me think that their doctors work with a timer, and while I believe and hope Dr. Gardner isn't that kind of doctor, unfortunately the lady's attitude suggested otherwise.

He immediately looked in my ear canal and removed some dead skin from my left ear canal. He prescribed the right medication for both my ear canals and thoroughly answered my question about next steps. My visit with Dr. Soltany definitely was worth the wait.

I came to Dr. Chang because I had a problem with tonsil stones. I researched all of the options for…read moreyears. I could have my tonsils removed, which at my age might lead to serious complications. I could do nothing and keep trying to manage the situation on my own - which wasn't working out so well. I could have laser cryptolysis, which might cause problems with other tissue in the back of my mouth if something goes wrong. I could have coblation, where only the offending tonsil is resurfaced. I opted for coblation. I researched and researched and researched and Dr. Chang got great marks across the board. After coming to him and having the procedure, I can see why. His office staff were friendly and efficient. You never got the feeling that they were bothered by your questions. They got me all scheduled for surgery very quickly. Dr. Chang offers you options on where you want to have your procedure. You could have it at the hospital or a surgical center he uses. I choose the surgical center. The only thing I didn't like was that the surgical center didn't call until the day before the procedure to give me my actual surgical start time. I was coming from a distance and I would have liked to have known about a week in advance, but I'm not upset about that because when they didn't call me as expected, I called Dr. Chang's office and they sent me in the right direction to get the information. I would just suggest that YOU call the surgical center beforehand (if you don't use the hospital) to ask when to come. I have to add that the surgical center staff were top notch - very friendly, very warm, very welcoming and just the type of people you want around you when you are about to put your life in someone's hands. Aside from the notification issue which I took care of, they were superb. The process and recovery went exactly as Dr. Chang described. Someone called to check on me the day after the surgery and scheduling the follow up appointment was a breeze! I discovered that I felt SO MUCH BETTER after my tonsil healed! It seems that my tonsil and it's associated tonsil stones were poisoning my system! About a week after the surgery, I felt better than I had felt in years! I realized that the constant nausea I had been experiencing for YEARS was a direct result of the tonsil stones! Who knew? Anyway, Dr. Chang and his staff are ALL rockstars! Do yourself a favor and make a weekend out of your visit. Come on a Friday and then go to Luray Caverns after the appointment. The area is just beautiful. I love great service! This doctor ROCKS!

He asked several key questions while examining me which allowed us to make a reasonable association with some signs of acid reflux and he explained the relationship to both concerns Medication he prescribed resulted in improved sleep, nearly eliminated snoring (attested to by my husband)and better digestion of spicy foods within a week. Life is better! Next, convinced my husband to seek him out due to chronic, unresolved ear infection/allergy issues for which he was treated for 2 YEARS by another ENT in area! Dr. Lee provided similar diagnosis but suggested totally different treatment and my husband's ear issues were resolved within 2 weeks. Wow. What a difference the right care can mean.
