BUT, the real reason behind the great positivity was our wonderful instructor, Sherry! She was welcoming, encouraged and supported our stories and all questions raised. She was very professional and knowledgeable, but her warm demeanor and sense of humor was appreciated more than she will ever know. I don't know how they expect students that work eight hour shifts during the day to turn right around a couple of hours later and go to clinicals from 6 PM to 5 AM, only to have to turn right back around and go to work that same morning. There are also private study rooms in the library that you can book to study. The librarian is also very helpful and will take her time out to help you find an article or book. I definitely recommend this school if you are considering PT, Nursing, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and etc. As any school, you do have to pay for the garage parking. I have never had a problem with not having any parking spots in the garage but there are times that I do have to drive all the way up to the roof to park.

NCTC did a great job on providing me with the basic education with pretty good amenities. I utilized their tutoring services a ton when I was taking my calculus class because realistically I wasn't prepared for that class. They helped me get an "A" in all my courses and it has paid off immensely. I know people who have gotten their nursing degrees from NCTC and make over 100k a year just from a community college degree. Don't knock this place cuz of its rinky dinky name. Needless to say, the information given was completely wrong and after her third semester she was told she would have to wait over a year to apply to the nursing school. When the Associate Dean of Students was asked for an explanation for their gross incompetence, we were told it was their busy time, and some counselors knew more than others. That's a lot of money to spend to not be taught correctly to have the skills to pass the boards.

Core 5 has become a barrier preventing hardworking students from graduating. The grading setup…read moremakes success nearly impossible one missed question can mean repeating the entire core. What's worse, dosage is only taught for a single day, yet students must score a perfect 100% on the dosage exam to advance. After that, we're left to study alone. While accuracy is vital in nursing, this policy is unrealistic and sets students up for failure. I've reached out multiple times about my efforts, only to hear the same response, while more money is pulled from my family for a class I already know. Students have failed Core 5 by fractions of a point, like 76.7% when 77% is required, with no retest or supplemental work allowed. Even a 95% on dosage is treated as failure if it isn't perfect students invest their time, energy, and passion only to be held back by technicalities. I've seen dedicated classmates in tears over narrowly missing the mark. The school must revise its Core 5 policies to reflect fairness, compassion, and educational best practices. Without change, this program will continue to lose talented future nurses to a rigid, financially damaging system.

The Student center has a large bathroom and they even provide Toilet Seat cleaner! They also have alot of events for Students to be apart of. I checked out their Vending Machine and most of their items are $4.50 and up. The Soda Machine was not full and the drinks were turned backwards? They have a tiny Microwave to heat up your food if needed, It's always clean on Campus. There's plenty of Parking Spaces. It was not crowded at all. The Bookstore was closed before 5 pm. I thought that was inconvenient. I would definitely recommend TCC South Campus. It has a lot to offer.

As usual, the overall massage was incredible! Don't let the aspect of students practicing make you feel like a guinea pig. They are trained and very good for still being in school.
