Happened in on this wonderful "hometown " sports bar filled with local families and their kids. Ambiance is like the proverbial corner bar that has been updated with a wall of video monitors. The locals you could tell simply loved it. We sat at the bar and was helped by a very sweet and helpful waitress that not only shared her advice on the menu but had great information about the location of the local library and local hotels. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and a 6 wing bone in special with fries and BBQ sauce. My son ordered the boneless hot bacon wing special with fries. Both wings dishes were accompanied with carrots and celery along with house made ranch dressing. ( excellent dressing by the way.) My salad came with a deliciously creamy house made blue cheese dressing but lacked tomatoes. For that deficiency I score it a four. If you are in the area, this is a must try establishment.

Five stars in the Dive Bar Department. No previous reviews…read more First to review?....what an honor! Inconspicuous moderate sized dive bar in between farm towns. Audrey the bartender was a doll. 5 stars for their bathrooms alone! I wanted to drop the kids off at the pool, but they wouldn't get out of the car. Nice selection of bottled beers, pool table, darts. No drafts. No food. But all that doesn't matter when the bathrooms can handle your load. Plus, if you can find the whole Streator ER staff here on some random morning, you know it's a good place!

Maybe it's the friendly bar staff, the clean and trouble free atmosphere or that it's a place you can go and feel welcomed by everyone who is in there. After being in the old shuttered Blue Room, the building was purchased and revamped into a sports bar atmosphere. It has been purchased and sold a couple of times over the past few years, but each owner has kept the same tradition of having a good quality bar. I generally have patronized Cheapseats for the after work happy hour crowd. There is just something about sitting around after grinding the stone all day, shotting the bull, watching ESPN on the tv's throughout the bar and rocking out to classic rock and country on the jukebox. Throw in a quick appetizer and it's a good evening. The bar also has numerous arcade machines, pool table, and dart machine. If your not into the "bar atmosphere," Cheapseats also has a spacious dining area with a full regular menu, salad bar, and nightly dinner specials as well. The key to their success has to be Debbie, she is always outgoing, friendly and makes sure to know her customers.
