We walked by and saw they had mushroom ravioli but by the time we circled back to eat it was already closing up. Without reading any reviews we figured we'd try for lunch the next day and so glad we did. I actually added this restaurant on Yelp bc it wasn't on here. On Google there are over 100 reviews and it gets 4.8 stars so they deserve to be listed on here too. The woman who provides front of the house service makes you feel as if you are a guest in her family's home. She welcomed us with a warm smile and was patient as we attempted to communicate using our extremely limited French and the little bit of English she spoke. She was funny too and we loved the way her face lit up when she talked about the food and wine. The menu consists of traditional French fare and uses the freshest ingredients. I didn't realize that Lyon is considered the to be the gastronomic capital of France which is where this family originated. It is said that the Lyonnais take food to another level and it is evident at this family run eatery. My husband enjoyed a local dish - a quenelle served with a traditional ceps sauce and a side of thinly sliced potatoes. I ordered the chefs recommended special - a mushroom ravioli and a green salad. The little pockets of love were stuffed with forest mushroom local to this region sitting in a mushroom Béchamel sauce. The salad was a perfect addition to the meal and was dressed with a lovely mustard vinaigrette. The wine - a Roussette de Savoie also local to the region was so delicious we finished the entire bottle with lunch. Not hard to do. Since we were living large we ordered Crème Brûlée for dessert too. Normally not a huge fan this was insanely good with a hint of basil. Seriously one of the most beautiful food experiences of my life.

If you were like me and don't really enjoy eating snails, this is the place to eat them. There is an art to making these little guys delicious. My niece tried them for the first time and liked it so much she asked if she could have another. I love that they serve them outside of the shell. I also had the chicken with morel mushroom sauce. It was delightful and very appetizing. My husband had the raclette. The dish came out with a big plates of cheese, some sliced ham, and potatoes. The whole meal was neat because you grilled the cheese on a tabletop non stick pan designed for this meal. It really was a neat thing to watch. I also had some nibbles of the pate (terrine de campagne) - savory and melts in your mouth; and the goat cheese salad - I wish I ordered this for myself. The whole restaurant is small. The kitchen for the restaurant is even smaller. But the ambiance is great. You can see the chefs at work from your table. The tiny spiral staircase to the restroom adds charm to the whole experience. The people who work here are great. Super accommodating for our large party of 11. Completely patient with us and very friendly. Definitely recommend is place.
