The service was amazing, ready to answer any questions about the menu. The food was really delicious, freshly made & served on these cute wooden trays. The place was clean & well organized, with really fun decor. The fries were crisp & well cooked, and the chili cheese fries toppings were on point, super yummy. The burgers were SO good! I have had such a surprising experience today!! I Came into the shop originally looking for a sandwich shop that is no longer here. I am inquisitive by nature, so I said, "Why not?" From the entrance to the greeting, I was overwhelmed in the most outstanding way! I had this lost look on my face, and the young lady literally approached me, explained the menu in great detail, and ensured that I was great! Then there was the lobby! I arrived at the location 10 minutes before it opened and waited in front until it opened. I was the first person in line, placed my order, and received my food within five minutes of the opening. Was hungry and had no idea what I wanted so was just scrolling on Yelp and saw this place. I realized it was new so I just had to come try! I love vegan food and am on my personal search to find the best vegan burger in Vegas. Though I am no longer vegan or vegetarian, I don't eat a lot of meat. Walked in to a beautiful and clean space. We were immediately greeted with smiles and welcomed in. I let the cashier (who I think is actually the manager) know that we'd be a minute looking at the menu so she helped us go over it since it was our first time. We ended up getting the Tokyo Mushito and Mighty Mush-Tex BBQ burgers. What I LOVE is that the fries come with the burger! Most vegan burgers are around the same price with no fries! For an additional charge, you have the choice of upgrading your fries to the sweet potato fries (+$1.00) or the Chaga Chili Chese Fries (+$3.00). I love chili cheese fries and it is something I miss since I don't eat beef. The two burgers including the one upgraded came out to $33.05 which for a vegan burger place with fries is not TOO bad to me, as long as it tastes good. Which brings me to the taste, we really enjoyed the creativity of the burgers. My burger had the ginger pickled cabbage which I loved, would love to snack on it just as a side. The regular fries are actually a pretty good fry and I am VERY serious about my fries and I wasn't disappointed in the taste and crispness of the regular fry. While I did enjoy the chili cheese fries, I just prefer my chilis and little thicker and heartier I guess. It was more so just scattered beans. I use lentils to make my chili which I think feels a little heartier. I also did not like the vegan sour cream but I also don't eat a lot of dairy sour cream so no big deal but the taste was very off putting for me. Overall, I really enjoyed my first time at here at ChagaRoot! Definitely appreciated the meal price! I do wish I could have tried their version of a milkshake but vegan milkshakes are always too expensive for me, I just can never justify spending $10 for a vegan milkshake. read more

I've tried 2 burgers--the Tokyo and Greek. Both have such great flavor with the accouterments they add to them. I love how fresh and crisp the arugula was on the Greek--greens often get soggy but not these! Great, crispy fries. I could not even tell the difference. I also had the Chocolate s'more mushie which is their shakes. Super flavored and very tasty. When it comes to plant based foods, it is a hit or miss for me. Chagaroot hit out the ballpark for me. Met with their owner Shane aka chaga Shane, and he is an amazing person. This is a little store front in a strip mall. We were warmly greeted by the counter staff. She offered to answer any questions. I love that this restaurant is mushroom based. I SO think this is the future of food! The restaurant is clean and minimalist. My husband ordered the new Chaga burger which came as a meal with fries. I ordered the lions mane chicken sandwich. My dish did not come with a side and was about $4 more than my husband's. The prices are a little steep to begin with and $18 for just a sandwich seemed a little much to me. We both enjoyed our food very much. My husband added a drink from the cooler to his lunch and I opted for water, which is my usual. They keep the water behind the counter and are a little stingy with it. No offer of a refill although they did refill my cup when my husband took it up. It didn't seem like a cheerful refill for some reason. I know we are in the desert but after spending a premium on two sandwiches it felt like water wasn't a big ask. The food was really good so that would bring us back but the water thing was a big deal to me and a little awkward so that gives me pause. This is definitely a restaurant I would like to support but they have some tweaking to do. read more

Cody was spectacular! He was so helpful in helping us decide what to order for our first visit. His customer service is top-notch. (After spending 3 hours at the police dept. to report a fraud case, we super needed this. Thank you, Cody!) The food was awesome, too. We got the Lion's main that tasted like chicken and the Chaga Mac Burger tasted like a hamburger. Cody cut our burgers in half so we could try both of them. The only mushrooms i like eating more are the magic ones‍ hehe. Jokes aside, the lions mane sandwich was one of the best vegan chicken sandwiches Ive tried. the crispy exterior and the "meaty" texture of the mushroom was exceptional. We also got planimal fries which were pretty good except they were out of the regular fries but they were kind enough to upgrade us to sweet potato fries for the inconvenience:) We also desided to try the pink oyster tacos and mac and cheese. The tacos were crunchy and very flavorful and is definitely the best bang for your buck on the menu! Im not the biggest fan of vegan cheese but this mac and cheese was still very creamy and a large portion for the price as well. Last but certainly not least, our two mushies were so thicc and were a great dessert to top off the meal. We were in the mood for burgers and shakes so came and had an ok exp. We placed the order and as we waited (quite a while for a coupe burgers) we were informed that the shake machine wasn't working so we'd be refunded for the shakes. What a bummer- it was our first time and we really wanted shakes and burgers together. Okay, these things happen. I was asked to go to the register to process y refund. Where I stood mostly ignored for 5-7 minutes. No apology, no explanation, I just stood there. All the staff was super nice and friendly but the owner was cold and indifferent. No apology, no eye contact, no offering to make it up, nothing at all. She didn't even acknowledge me. Just helped the employees process my refund in a flat manner and then walked away. Between that and the flavor, quality of the food, transparency of ingredients and the overall experience I'd give it 2.5-3 stars. It's a really nice idea and I like that they have gluten free buns!!
