He was extremely demanding and gave unclear, ambiguous instructions to the staff, then complained incessantly about everything while lecturing his grandson about myriad topics. He asked for a substitution in the singular, then was incensed that his grandson did not also receive the substitution. Then, the meal proceeded, as he had ordered the 5 course, but there was some miscommunication there as well and he seemed to call off the rest of the courses. In absence of the waitstaff, he complained to the kid in the most stereotypical know-it-all fashion, then eventually turned to the table next to him and began bragging about all the restaurants he had been to, or something like that. This anecdote is relevant because some people disrespect tradition and propriety of fine dining establishments and then leave outrageously low reviews.
