Chadwick nursery has an excellent array of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs and other necessary items to keep everything looking and growing great. I have suckers growing in my lawn. I phoned Chadwick Nursery and was able to speak with Cheryl who not only understood my concern but helped me with another issue as well. I am so happy to be working with them and will continue to shop here for my growing needs. Bring cash because credit is not accepted but this is not a problem as they also take checks and will hold your invoice for you. Great service, helpful people...why go anywhere else? Called to get hours for Memorial Day and was told "We will be here until around 5:30. Drove in 75 miles and arrived at 3:55 PM. There was a lady there closing and blocking the gate. We told her we had called and been told 5:30 and she immediately interrupted and said " They said 4:00. Four is when we are closing", turned her back on us and walked away. One suggestion, please make sure that your sign, your webpage and your staff are all in agreement on closing time. One comment - It is fine to close the gate at 4:00 is that is your closing time. It is fine to be tired after what I am sure was a very busy weekend. However, it is never okay to just be rude. So to the gray haired lady with the large sunhat - its good to know there are lots of other businesses who sell the same products you sell there. We won't be back. read more

Horrible customer service all I do is call to see if they have a monstera plant and she said do you have another name I'm like yea a Swiss monstera and like we'll I have no clue what your talking about and I said it's a popular plant and she then proceeds to say well I'm wrong and hangs up the phone on me read more

I called this company to ask nicely if they would think about donating flowers to my class for Mother's Day, and the lady I spoke to was horrible. she yelled at me about that being their lively hood, and didn't even bother to ask how many I would need. I understand somebody not having the means to donate, but to talk to me the way this person did was horrible. do not buy from this nursery. read more

They do not stand behind their word. We spent over $600 last summer there and 1 of the shrubs died. They said they'd sell us a new one for $60. When they said last summer if it dies within a year of purchase we'll replace it. They are full of excuses. read more

Last summer we purchased an evergreen from Chadwicks and paid $200. It died over the winter. We went in today and said it died and asked what they needed to replace it. Mrs. Chadwick informed us that their products are not guaranteed. She then asked if we watered it. Of course we did. Then she asked if we watered it over the winter. Of course we did not. She then assumed that someone had sprayed it with some chemical that killed it. We will not be buying any more trees there. Every other nursery replaces their trees with no questions. read more

Between a friend and I, we purchased 4 trees this past week, 3 hotwings maples and a paper birch. Granted, the trees were on sale. Firstly, beware of their "sales." The maples were all infected with a leaf spot disease that was diagnosed by a local reputable nursery which will require spraying the trees with a fungicide at regular intervals to manage it, otherwise they will likely die. When Chadwicks was called to report the problem, Mr. Chadwick was so irate that he actually hung up in the middle of the phone call, and accusing us of "besmirching" his image by taking a leaf sample to another nursery in our community. Prior to hanging up, he was quite verbally aggressive, and denying that there was anything wrong with "his" trees. Since they do not guarantee any of their products, and we were treated so vilely, and we are out several hundred dollars, you can be sure we will not be repeat customers!!! read more

One year ago I purchased several trees and shrubs. One of the trees was very expensive--$250. I asked if these trees were guaranteed and was assured they were. The expensive tree did not survive the winter so I took a photo and my receipt and requested credit or replacement. Mrs. Chadwick grilled me telling me they had not guaranteed their stock for several years and had Mr. Chadwick talk to me. He also insisted that they did not guarantee their stock. When I insisted he had told me they were guaranteed, he exploded and very loudly called me a liar. I said not so, but I replied that I was apparently dealing with a crook. He then charged from behind the counter as if he would assault me and screamed "Get out of my store". I left never to return. This business is not to be trusted. BEWARE. read more

I've been coming here for a while and get great service. The advice and products are great. I am writing today because of an experience I had yesterday. I am having trouble with a nasty weed in my yard. I went to Chadwick's with one of the weeds and was told quickly what I needed. Chadwick's takes cash and check only and I knew this but am getting old and only had a debit card. The nice lady with the sun hat told me she would let me send in a check. She asked me to write my name, address and phone number. She didn't need to see my ID. It is just a great place to do business and has a real live Montana feel to it. I don't want to bash anyone so let's just say I'm going to buy plants from Lowe's or Home Depot instead. At least they are friendly there!
