His bid was competitive, and he was able to offer suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought of or didn't know were feasible. The initial timeline was several months out, but Rob remained in contact and was able to move us up on the calendar. The project was completed at the quoted price, plus a couple of scope additions we requested. Work took a little longer than expected, likely due to modifications needed to bring our aging home up to standard, and the perfection of our tile work; Rob does things the right way, and uses great subcontractors. The end result is beautiful. The bathroom remodel was completed so perfectly that we now see flaws in our guest bathroom which was remodeled 3 years ago by a different contractor. Our master suite has transformed from the worst part of our home to our personal sanctuary. I would not hesitate to hire Rob Tol Construction again. In fact, we're already planning to when we're ready to start our next project. As a side note, but important to us, Rob and all of his subs were great with our dogs. so we never had to lock them away during the project.

It took a little time to get on his calendar, but it was worth the wait. My remodel involved redesigning three bathrooms and the kitchen. All were taken down to the studs, so there was lots of demolition. Rob sequenced the work so I was never without a functioning bathroom. Everything adjacent to the work areas was wrapped and the floors protected. Rob and his helper were meticulous about checking all the new fittings for leaks and repaired damage from a pre-existing leak from an upstairs bathroom. Rob's original estimate was accurate and the only extras were things I asked for in the course of the job. Now that the job has been done a while I am completely satisfied.

I hate…read moregiving such a low rating when the flooring installation was done quite satisfactorily, but they left such a mess in my garage and actually damaged the plumbing in my house and have never paid for the plumbing repair. They left my garage actually impassible, full of piles and piles of scraps of cut flooring material, mixed with mounds of flooring glue, numerous empty pizza boxes, soda containers, half empty trash bags (spilling open for the trash inside to join the rest of the mess), and many small mountains of sawdust. It took me days to clean it up. Also, I soon noticed that they had tiled over the clean-out drain in my laundry room so the clean-out was not usable. I asked them to come back and fix it, and Shawn Brown's son came back to trim the tile back from the clean-out, and while doing that he cut through the clean-out plug. I assume he must have known because he cut off a sizable chunk of black plastic. I asked to be reimbursed for the plumbers visit to fix that problem, and never got a response. Too bad that they have such horrible customer service and are so disrespectful to their customers because I am satisfied with the flooring installation. I actually gave them a sizable tip for getting done on schedule (more or less) but that was before I became aware of the mess they left behind or the plumbing issue. All in all, I can't give them more than 2 stars. Good flooring install but it's not acceptable to treat your customers like that.
