When he was finished, we had paint all over the carpeting, baseboards, windowsills, door frames, and doors. The paint was slopped in gobs on the walls in some places, and had dried in large drops down the walls. Other places were badly streaked, and he'd clearly skipped the second coat of paint in places where he probably thought we wouldn't see it. There were numerous places where we could clearly see the old paint color. And, he told us , right before putting on the last coat, that he was increasing the cost, over his written estimate, by nearly 14%. My husband and I have been scrubbing the carpeting, and had to purchase some sandpaper and paintbrushes, to fix the mess he made of the room. Now my husband, with his bad back, is painting, which is exactly what we paid all that money to avoid!!!

Bulkhead Brothers was hired to do two large projects for our company. In both cases, they had very…read moreexpensive change orders that were not budgeted. This set back our business cash flow as the project came in quite a bit more than the original bid. In addition, they did not post one of our payments. They sent us a final bill. We hand wrote the check so the vendor could come pick it up. The next day our Accountant caught that they had not applied an earlier payment for $38,775. We have made numerous attempts to collect our money. The owner said they went over on the project and didnt have the money to re-pay our over-payment. We will be taking them to court for theft.
