This clinic is incredibly dysfunctional and I feel obligated to write a review. I began by seeing…read moreSarah, who I felt fine with at first. After seeing her quite a few times, her bedside manner was consistently lacking. When I wasn't following her guidelines to a T, she referred me to her husband which seems like quite the norm according to other reviews. Her husband was nice enough, but tried to use scare tactics on me about a health issue that he and I were attempting to work on, but wasn't responding to any sort of medication. And he had the audacity to use those scare tactics on me. Let me just reiterate that. I was already feeling discouraged about my health problem and I was going to this provider for help. I was complying, trying multiple medications that I could not afford, doing the lifestyle changes they recommended, and they felt as though I was not taking it seriously and made me feel awful about myself. Every time I saw Sarah after that, she was extremely hostile with me and would not give me the time of day. As a practice they are completely untrustworthy. I have a friend who have brought in their infant and were given the wrong vaccine. I have friends that have also attempted to seek care from this office and also felt like they were not given the time of day or talked down to. Not only does she talk down to patients, Sarah also talks down to the support staff. And like several other reviews, getting a referral sent was a nightmare. And calling to the office is a nightmare. To get to the point, I don't trust these providers and I will never return to Fairhaven Integrative Health and I strongly do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Both of the doctors at this office are amazing. I have seen both of them for different reasons…read more They took the time to listen to my concerns and needs. They followed through for almost a year on my bloodwork. They are both wonderful naturopaths that I highly recommend.

Dr. Steinberg was the first practitioner to correctly diagnose my daughter's rash. I took her to…read moreour regular pediatrician, and then to a dermatologist. Dr. Steinberg's diagnosis and treatment regimen cleared it up after the "western" doctors could not give me anything. I was beyond sad when he retired, as he was competent, compassionate and available. Still looking for a new naturopath...

I went to many naturopaths and doctors in town but nobody could ever help me. Finally through me own shear will and determination I figured out that I could potentially have Lyme disease. I had visited Steinberg, wanting him to draw my blood and send it out to Igenex for appropriate testing for Lyme. Eventually he did that and the results came back. It was a confusing test with no Yes, or No. So research on my part was needed to figure out what it all meant. Anyway, he looked me in the eye and told me, " I think it's a false positive, you can put Lyme on the back burner." and sent me home with digestive enzymes, that failed to work 3 years prior. Well, I did go home and find out what the test results meant and it was positive for Lyme! I cried and cried and found an amazing Lyme literate doctor in Seattle who is HELPING me. I have been in treatment for Lyme and co-infections for 1 year and 1 month and my health is at 85%, walking into his office I was about 30%. The horrible part is that I believe he knew I had Lyme disease the whole time and lied to me. If I would have listened to him I would have been dead by now. I sure hope that with all his hiking and outdoor activities that he enjoys he never gets bitten by a tick... brewifewithlyme.blogspot.com

I found Bonnie Sprague purely as a fluke - I am so glad things happened in the universe that the…read moreconnection was made. Having largely sworn off western medicine for most of my adult life, I found the route of naturopathy to be more in alignment with healthcare, as in caring for peoples health. The holistic route. Having been physically active my life, when my body started behaving differently, I was not happy with the change. I was even less happy with the fact that no one in my western medicine community took my concerns seriously. Big hospitals and doctors that came highly recommended failed me time after time. Having moved to a new community and not having made new healthcare connections, I was in a place to start looking at starting over. Basically firing my fancy doctor and looking for a great doctor within the BIPOC Community. It was during this process that I learned about Bonnie and her work. I had never been to someone practicing functional medicine. Oddly, I don't even think I've ever researched down that path. But she came highly recommended and she accepts my insurance so I made an appointment. My initial appointment with Bonnie was very reminiscent of visits with former naturopath. Her approach is thoughtful and holistic. Her questioning was good and relevant and careful and inquisitive. She not only listened, but she heard what I was saying about my concerns - she tracked what I was saying, and asked questions to dive deeper. She ordered bloodwork that I needed to start getting answers. Bloodwork that I wasn't able to get from others because they wouldn't listen to me. Because she listened and was proactive, I'm now on a path of Collecting information that will tell a story. With that story will come actual health care. If you're feeling like you're not being heard and you're tired of getting blown off by providers with fancy titles doling out shitty care, check out functional medicine and Bonnie Sprague.

I would describe Bonnie's style as old-school...the most amazing thing about Bonnie, is not her years of experience, quaint office with easy parking and convenient location, highly professional staff..Sandra is a gem !! But the fact that Bonnie LISTENS!! Yep!! She truly does!! She actually takes the time to sit down and make sure she understands exactly what YOUR concerns are. I so appreciate this woman and her impeccable skills, judgment on numerous issues at this point. I would be lost without her! If you are reading this and liking what I am telling you, please let's keep it between us as we don't want her to turn into a doc-in-the-box kind office with plastic people and their artificial smiles as they swipe your card.. Bonnie is the real deal! Oh and I don't mean to be exclusionary.. I'm sure she treats other/all genders.
