After seeing her quite a few times, her bedside manner was consistently lacking. When I wasn't following her guidelines to a T, she referred me to her husband which seems like quite the norm according to other reviews. Her husband was nice enough, but tried to use scare tactics on me about a health issue that he and I were attempting to work on, but wasn't responding to any sort of medication. And he had the audacity to use those scare tactics on me. Let me just reiterate that. I was already feeling discouraged about my health problem and I was going to this provider for help. I was complying, trying multiple medications that I could not afford, doing the lifestyle changes they recommended, and they felt as though I was not taking it seriously and made me feel awful about myself. Every time I saw Sarah after that, she was extremely hostile with me and would not give me the time of day. As a practice they are completely untrustworthy. I have a friend who have brought in their infant and were given the wrong vaccine. I have friends that have also attempted to seek care from this office and also felt like they were not given the time of day or talked down to. Not only does she talk down to patients, Sarah also talks down to the support staff. And like several other reviews, getting a referral sent was a nightmare. And calling to the office is a nightmare. To get to the point, I don't trust these providers and I will never return to Fairhaven Integrative Health and I strongly do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

I had visited several doctors…read morein the area, conventional doctors, trying to figure out what was wrong with me I was not feeling well, I had physical symptoms (hair falling out, nails breaking easily, couldn't sleep, stressed out, gaining weight to name a few). First doctor ran some tests after I insisted that this was not normal for me. He ran a few and told me I was fine and that I could probably use some anti depressants, what!? Anyhow, found Dr. Jessica, I walked in and was greeted by Jennifer at the front desk and she is the nicest and most gentle person ever. I actually spent over an hour talking to Dr. Van Dusen, explaining everything that I had been going through for the last 2 years. Death of my brother, moving to Bellingham, new jobs, my son unhappy in Bellingham and school and all my symptoms and knowing there was something wrong and my body was trying to tell me something. Dr. Van Dusen ran additional tests to the ones the other doctor did. She actually ordered a complete set. And yes, several things showed up in my results. I was right! there was something wrong. Dr. Van Dusen prescribed natural meds for me, within 2-3 weeks I could see the difference, I could feel it. I went to her for over 2 years (the whole time we were in Bellingham), I have recommended her to everyone I know. She got me back to normal. I took my 11 year old son who has severed allergies and terrible inflammation issues. Always in pain, we had gone to Children's Hospital in Seattle even and they couldn't find anything wrong. Well, Dr. Van Dusen did. She ordered lab work for him and he is extremely allergic to Gluten. So simple! and allergic to a couple of other things. Dr. Van Dusen talked to my son directly every time I brought him in. She took the time to explain everything to him, why, how, etc. His issues went away. He is not in pain anymore and we know what we have to do. I moved to Virginia and I still use Dr. Jessica for my son and me. We do consults on the phone to make sure we are on track. This is how good and amazing she is. She will listen to you. Every time. She will spend time with you. She keep track of everything she suggest to try. I miss her, I wish I could see her. She is gentle and nice and so very knowledgable. I highly recommend Dr. Jessica Van Dusen and Vital Source Natural Medicine.

Today, I was scheduled for a 2:50 appt, they took be back around 3:05, and I was still sitting in the exam room waiting for a physician at 3:50. This is completely unacceptable. I understand that physicians get behind for a myriad of reasons, but if they are running late, the office should give you a call and let you know so you have the option to reschedule. This is not a unique circumstance, although it is the longest. I have been made to wait for inordinately long periods of time many times over the years. No longer. I do not recommend NSFM. It seems as though they are more focused on patient volume than patient satisfaction.

I chose to see Angela London based on her online bio stating that she believes in an individualized…read moreapproach to the patient's healthcare needs. However, this online bio did not match up to my experience with her. Instead I found I was told what to do and my concerns were disregarded completely. I was quite disappointed by this. I had been receiving care from a different ND doctor for hypothyroid problems, and hormone imbalances for several years. Then,due to insurance changes, I could no longer see that doctor and had to find a new ND doctor. I came to Dr London expecting to have the same experience of being listened to, and tailoring an individualized treatment plan. Unfortunately what I experienced was an approach to testing and treatment of sub-clinical hypothyroidism that was exactly like traditional doctors, and not at all like naturopathic medicine I have experienced. Only TSH and T4 were tested, and when I requested testing of T3 and free T4 as well, I was refused even though I explained my previous provider always monitored that and it was important to me. Reason given was that my TSH "was within normal range" so no further testing needed. Anyone who has sub-clinical hypothyroid issues knows this is not an individualized approach. At this point, I chose to discontinue care with her office due to lack of compatibility with my previous treatment plan. I felt obligated to post this review to help others with thyroid issues who may be looking for a naturopath. I cannot recommend Dr. London for this issue. After this experience, I chose to pay out of pocket to continue care with my previous naturopathic doctor, Dr. Camille Koontz in Bellingham. It's worth every penny. I found Dr. London to be very intelligent and focused, but her philosophy seems to be very traditionally western medicine, not naturopathic, and very controlling with a complete lack of individuality in her approach.
