Candace worked with my wife and I on our recent home purchase in Alpine. When we first contacted…read moreher, we told her that we'd found a house on the Internet that we were interested in, and that we'd like to have her show us that house, plus a few others in the neighborhood. (We found Candace through a San Diego Magazine article called "FIVE STAR Real Estate Agents".) Candance made herself available to fit our schedules, which was important to us as we were coming from Northern California. After selecting a home, Candace guided us through the process of making offers and counteroffers, always providing guidance (from her many years in the real estate business) yet always listening to what we wanted to do and never insisting that her ideas would be better than ours. That was a BIG plus for us, and a quality you do not find in every agent. After our offer was accepted, Candance handled the bulk of the work for us as we needed to remain in Northern California for several weeks. She was able to get paperwork to us electronically (even those items that needed signatures), and volunteered on several occasions to be present at the new property (while we were unavailable) to allow the speedy completion of inspections and all of the other work that goes into being sure that the house we were buying was exactly as it was represented to us. She was especially helpful to keep all of the players (loan broker, insurance, title company, etc.) on track for a smooth close and on schedule with our close-of-escrow date. Then, after we moved in to our new Alpine home, Candace has continued to help us with selecting local vendors for house upgrades and even providing advice on the best places in town to eat! Real Estate is a service industry. Agents should be measured by the degree and the quality of the service they provide. At every stage of the game, Candace made us feel that we were the most important, no the ONLY, people in the world. She provided us with the level of attention that VIPs deserve, and aren't we all VIPs? She is a very pleasant person, but can be assertive when the situation calls for a bit of forthrightness. She is well networked with others in the general real estate industry in the area, and that also proved to be advantageous for us as buyers. Candace is also a great communicator. Considering we were moving from 500 miles away, is was great to have constant updates. Candace was like having another set of eyes, ears, and hands right there in SoCal where I needed them. Whether you need to buy or sell your home, if you're in the area that Candace serves, you should give her a call. You will not be disappointed.

Candace was my agent when I sold my house in Descanso, CA in the summer of 2014. This is not the…read moreeasiest market in which to sell a house. The town has the reputation of being "remote" and it's also a place many San Diego area people have never even heard of! With Candace' help, I was able to sell my house within six weeks of listing it. That was very important to me because I really NEEDED to move away. Candace has excellent communication skills. She understands what a seller might not know about selling a home and she's there with clear explanations every step of the way. She responds very quickly to phone calls and emails. She puts in MORE than 100% to help the client get the house ready to show and she does excellent followup with agents whose clients have seen the house to find out what was and was not appealing to THEIR clients. Candace helped me sort out some mechanical problems that were way beyond my physical abilities -- like cleaning out an "attic" area in my shed and doing yard cleanup. Selling a house is extremely stressful, and in my situation, time was really critical. I WAS stressed. I don't know how I could have made it through the experience so happily with any other agent. Candace' patience, her sense of humor, and her genuine kindness were a great help to me as were her skills as a real estate agent. She was an advocate for my interests the whole way.

I feel my 2 star rating was actually generous. We were 1st time home buyers and didn't know much…read moreafter dealing with another realtor as well as feed back from friends and family I saw my disappointments were very much warranted. He didn't seem very interested in us the entire time we worked with him. He only suggested properties for us to look at twice and on those occasions he met us there. The other properties were ones we asked to see and again we were always met there. We never saw more than one house on any of the days we went out and he never attended an open house with us. The day we had asked for an appointment to see the home that we did buy as we pulled up there were other people in the home. To my shock he had let a passer bye enter and explore the home that we had mad a appointment with home for a private show. He did not represent this home himself and that he would show it to a stranger and offer a business card was appalling considering MY agent could have possible started a bidding war that might have driven up our price. He also chose the company who did our home inspection. That company missed several important problems including the fact that All our windows were put in wrong.....as they began to leak after speaking with several contractors separately they were in shock to hear I had had the home inspected. We had just as many problems with the loan officer he directed us to .....and when there were issues he seemed to have the loan officers back and not ours. He made his money for minimal work and I don't know if he received kick backs from the loan officer or home inspector he referred us to but both were incompetents. I would never do business with this man again I would not refer him to my enemy let alone friends or family. The process was awful and even when he was contacted and told about our issue with the windows at a 25,000 cost to replace all 20 windows in my home There was no genuine care. I asked how could your home inspector not have caught this....No answer to that.....so if you do use him research and use all your own people this is not someone I would put my trust in to help me find additional help when buying my home......and if you read this Mr. Snow please remove us from your mailing list...I don't dislike anyone enough to pass along any of you advertisements.

Giving five stars and a glowing review is simply not enough to express how happy we were to work…read morewith The GreenHouse team. As first time home buyers, we had no idea where to start. We were also out of state which made everything that much more difficult. I'm a big Yelp user and relied on the hundreds of other 5-star reviews to look for a real estate company. I was so impressed with Craig and Jesse from the start. The initial call was SO organized, thorough, and personal. Not only did they give us a incredibly detailed step-by-step guide of the buyer's process, but also spent the time to learn more about us as people and what we were looking for in a home. I was surprised my how much time and energy was invested before even signing any contracts with them. After meeting with a few different teams, we chose the GreenHouse Group and 100% stand by our decision! Communication was consistently strong and we were always in contact with someone/the entire team along the way. We worked with Lori & Alexa who also helped us navigate documents and important deadlines. The GreenHouse Group has a well-designed platform to track the home buying process--making it easy to see deadlines and to-dos. We worked with Craig for our Kick-Off Tour. The GHG evaluation system for homes captured everything important to consider when purchasing a home and we learned so much about what to look for when checking out a home. Craig was straight-up, incredibly knowledgable, and clearly looking out for our best interest. He took us to see quite a number of homes that day and even had snacks and waters to keep us going! Unexpectedly, and uncommonly, we found a home from that weekend's trip we wanted to put an offer on. Craig jumped right in and guided us through the 'make-an-offer' process. He worked incredibly hard to negotiate on our behalf and was able to coordinate inspections and video walk-throughs for us when we couldn't be physically present. We were always promptly and transparently well-informed and advised. We never felt pressured or persuaded to make any decisions. Craig and the GHG team presented the facts and gave recommendations based on 20+ years of company experience--always looking out for our best interest. They were 'real' and weren't out to "sell us" on anything. Even during the rent-back process, the team coordinated with the other realtor to work with the sellers on transitions and key dates. It was super fun when Jesse and Lori were already at the house when we arrived to pick up our keys--what a thoughtful surprise! To top it off, they came with a whole container of new home goodies and essentials for us to use while we settled in (and even had some for our dog!) The care box was super useful, especially when we didn't have any of our kitchen items yet! Even after the sale and getting our keys, the GHG team is still there to answer your questions and help you out--including a list of recommended contractors and other services you might need when moving into a new home. I'm sure I am forgetting something here, but needless to say, we 10/10 recommend the GreenHouse Group to anyone looking to buy (or sell!) a home. We have no regrets and could not have asked for a better team. Thank you GHG!

They were always available to answer questions, kept me informed every step of the way and made sure I knew what to expect throughout the process. Their advice on pricing and negotiations was spot on, and everything moved smoothly from getting my house ready to list all the way through closing. I also want to give a shoutout to their TC, Alexa. She kept everything organized behind the scenes, was always responsive and helpful, and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. I have no doubt that her attention to detail played a big part in helping us close on time. Thank you to Lori, Alexa and Jesse in making this process feel smooth and manageable! If you're looking for a knowledgeable, responsive team to help sell your home, this is your team!
