Spa was miserable sauna broken, jacuzzi cold and wouldn't heat, swimming pool outdoors full of flies. I complained and the spa manager laughed. I complained in reception and they offered a free spa treatment (not my thing) wanted to relax and soak. Wifi in hotel comes and goes not reliable. Plumbing was bad hot water was hit and miss. Smell of sewage in corridor awful. Staff smoked below our window which meant you needed to close window. No aircon luckily wasn't too hot. Restaurant was expensive €59 menu but by this point I had lost confidence and cancelled reservation so can't really comment on food. Other reviews in different sites are very mixed. Management are very defensive in those but to be honest I felt comments were justified. Save your money and book elsewhere. Think this place is struggling to survive and the customer is being penalised.

You have a free bottle of water The reception desk was excellent every day - helpful, cheery, friendly The car park isn't bookable but we were able to park underground there - and the lift accesses the car park too which is really useful; it is only 12:50€ pd which is good news. There are others nearby as it turned out if it had been full, but then you need to know how they work All in all definitely recommendable FYI - restos (La Paix, Au Bureau, Waida, Che Diego, Haralds, Tablier, Cru Chanzty & Shamrock at Dizy) & sites (Reddition, Foujita, Cathedral, Tau, Mars Wall) & independent out of town Champagne Houses (Lejeune Pere & Fils, Gaston Chiquet & M Fagot) we visited written up as well on Yelp One general comment, its not worth bothering with the main champagne houses; they all charge to take the tour when all you really want to do is sip, choose, buy (or not)...it would have been nice to go round Pommery to see the art but you have to take the tour; and as for one of the main reasons for going to Reims (to buy Theophile Roederer as opposed to Louis), I rang them...no idea when the tours are, nor how much nor is there is any room on them, send us an email and they will get back to you...forget it!!! Decent free breakfast. Everyone speaks english. The only issue is that you are about 5 blocks from the main pedestrian area - I don't mind the walk as it's a fine area. Also some rooms face the back and every now and then a stupid large truck would bang around early in the morning.

They had a workout room, something not all hotels in France have. A sauna, swimming pool, sun deck & great restaurants. The continental breakfast was included every morning with probably the BEST scrambled eggs with extra butter ever! Only to be accompanied by cute little French country sausages. There are a lot of restaurants just one block away from the city square! And it's quiet here; something that larger French cities don't offer. I'd stay here again.

The rooms were a good size for Europe, and the showers were also pretty big. The showers were raised and slanted a little so the water drained down rather than going outside of your shower like you typically see in most European hotels. There's also a good hairdryer in the hotel, a mini fridge, and an iron. They offer breakfast, but it was expensive for what they offer: scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage with a variety of baked goods. There are who many bakeries nearby, one even next door! Don't waste your money at their breakfast.

Well forget that as the team of the Ibis centre in Reims has succeeded to make the place unique and awesome. They recently redecorated the whole lounge in a very cool and colourful design. It feels very fun and friendly, pretty much to image of all the staff. The grape bar offers great food and drinks starting with local cheeses and charcuteries and following with a nice selection of microbrewery beers. Just to tell you how cool the vibe was, they even had a band playing during the evening and the place was packed full of happy, friendly people. We had a great time. So what if the rooms are a bit small. It's clean and tidy, well-equipped and comfy. Furthermore, the hotel is walking distance to about anything in Reims. It's right next to the train station, 5 minutes away from the Cathedrale and all the shops and bars around. I loved my visit in Reims, and the ibis was as much part or the trip's success as all the prestigious champagne houses we visited.

We had a midnight dinner in the lobby, which was surprisingly good. The front desk staff wasn't very friendly. There were scowls all around. Located in a prime location, the Bristol is a pretty good place to stay if the price is right…read more If you stay at the Bristol, the room is comfortable enough, nothing fancy and not modern. It's an old building and there is only so much they can do without gutting the place. The location in the center of town is it's primary attraction, and Reims is very walkable from here. You can easily walk to champagne tours, through the nearby park, tour the shops or visit the fantastic Notre Dame de Reims cathedral. The gothic cathedral was completed in 1275 AD after 64 years of construction, it is very impressive. One catch - look elsewhere if the weather is hot! During hot weather, you may need to open the windows, and then there is a lot of street noise. Late at night you will hear the patrons of the outdoor cafes, and early in the morning you will hear the delivery trucks coming and going.
