I'm so sorry the ladies above had a bad time. I live a few miles away and this is the "Best Little…read moreScrapbook Store in Texas!" I've gone to other stores in the area that don't have nearly the selection or the great prices. The owner is an enthusiastic lady who is willing to help in every way. She will demonstrate anything in her store for free and will even tell you if you need the product or not. She is definitely in the business of helping you scrapbook or make anything I've found on Pinterest! Crickets??? YES! This is a bad year for crickets, we had no winter so we have a bumper crop. I've even seen them at the door going into my doctors office and Whataburger. I'm sorry they had a bad experience with them. I can assure you the owner is concerned because I've heard her talking about it and the Orken man was there when I left today. This is a wonderful destination whether you're shopping or staying at the retreat. Crickets are seasonal. It would be a shame for this little bug to put her out of business since she has no control over Mother Nature. Friday nights are "Crop 'Til Midnight" nights and I'm here almost every Friday. We prepare a full meal in the kitchen. Her convection oven will cook anything you can cook in a regular oven.

HORRIBLE! They've gotten me addicted to a new hobby ;)…read more Staff is very knowledgeable and even more friendly. I took a pottery painting class and have every intention of booking an actual pottery class in the near future. There was another class going on at the same time as mine and it looked so fun. The workers are so sweet and accommodating. My piece turned out amazing after they provided this beginner with much needed advice!

New hobby unlocked (!!!) I had some of the most fun,…read morerelaxing, and engaging time trying pottery with the wheel for the first time a few weeks ago as I celebrated my rotation around the sun. It was a marvelous experience from start to finish, and that's all thanks to the awesome instructor, Corrie, who was super patient and oh so helpful in lending a hand (literally) to give our projects the pep they needed if they were looking a bit sad. The projects started off in the third stage (after being wedged and centered) which was a very nice of them since I heard that the first steps are annoying and time-consuming. They do offer a 4-week pottery class that meets weekly where you get to learn all the stages from start to finish, which I will absolutely sign up for once I'm in the area more consistently. We were able to mold whatever container our hearts (or clay, really) desired. I came in wanting to make a chawan (matcha bowl) and I think the shape turned out much better than anticipated, but I'm afraid it'll shrink in the kiln, oof. Their glazing and firing process will take about 3 weeks after we make our piece, so I've yet to see the final product but will cross my fingers it'll be functional for my daily matcha routine. You get to choose which glaze from a variety of options, and they'll do that step for you. But in the intensive class, you get to paint and do more detailed work, and I got to see some of the finished pieces that were on display after finishing up my piece. It's super inspiring to see the variety of pieces you can make, and I'm already dreaming of other projects to embark on~ What's even better is this studio also offers more than pottery, including painting, dyeing fabrics, sewing, and crochet courses too, all of which I lovelovelove.

Highly recommend this place! I had so much fun…read more My husband surprised me with a date night last Friday night, and took me to this place. We arrived, picked the designs we liked, and started right away. They give you a few tips, but you're pretty much on your own. We were advised it would take approx 2 hrs, but it took us closer to 3 hrs. You should plan a little extra time. Oh and you can buy a cup of Turkish coffee and they also give you a cup of pomegranate tea. I tried both and loved it! Once you're done painting, you can bake your plates in your oven for about 30 minutes and they're ready! They also have Turkish lamp making class and it looks also fun. I'd like to go back and try the class too.

We all booked online and were able to pick which lamp we wanted to design. I chose the swan lamp. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and once checked in we got situated at a table with a few other guests. I am in love with the space. First off, it's in a business area, and on a Sunday, there was no one else around. My GPS had difficulty finding the exact spot but once I had the suite number it was easy to find. When we walked in you could see how bright and airy this space is. Before the start of class, we had time to chit chat and walk around to get ideas for our lamps. Our teacher (I think her name was Oun?) was super sweet and walked us through each step. The first step is laying out your design. We were served Turkish coffee and a Turkish treat, (for an extra charge) during this step. During the step where we glue on the tiles we were served the pomegranate tea that came with the price of the class. At the end of our 2+ hours we were given instructions on how to make the cement to seal all the mosaic tiles in and once I do that, I will post photos of my finished product. We all had a blast and would 100000% recommend coming here to get artsy.
