I used this ski shop for a week-long ski and helmet rental while visiting Cervinia. I came across them using the Alpinresorts.com website, which I have used for other ski destinations abroad. The website tends to offer discounts to the point where it saves you money (and the schlepping) of paying for skis on international flights.
When you enter from the street, you'll see a compact store with some gear and clothes. The rentals are all taken care of downstairs, so if that's what you're looking for...head down.
The process for picking up the skis, poles, and helmet was relatively painless. I had my confirmation email from the website, however the store did ask for photo ID (which wasn't mentioned in the confirmation email). I mentioned that I didn't have my passport on me, but did have the credit card used to secure the purchase with me. That appeared to be sufficient as I was able to pick up my rental. The techs were able to quickly adjust my binding to fit my boot and I was on my way. There was a ton of staff in place at the store on Sunday (I suspect it is a big turnover day for them). One of the staff members was kind enough to take my ski upstairs to street level.
After my week of skiing was done, the place can be virtually skied into from the town's main area. A short walk down the main street and you're able to return you skis with ease. They quickly check the serial number on the skis, confirm your name and you're done.
I've got no complaints about using these guys for a rental. They had a big selection of skis and poles, so you're sure to find something that makes sense for you. read more
