I was using car shield and the company worked very well with my insurance. They were great. They kept even though I didn't have a very good adjuster. Everything worked out and they replaced my transmission. My motor everything for very little it was very nice and affordable. I would recommend this company to anyone. After two weeks of driving on my supposedly dead transmission I finally got a call over this review, and let him have it. First off the van clearly had an electrical issue with a wire or the TCM causing failures after a long time driving. Recommendation was replace. But here's the kicker- zero work was done to find the original issue of wiring! So I would have paid $6000 for a transmission that would have failed AGAIN soon after. They wanted to "explain it to me." I am not five. They are my third mechanic in three years looking at this issue. They were supposed to be experts at electrical issues. The code said possible computer problem. I can't afford a whole new transmission and I just need this care to keep running as long as possible and they were of zero help with the ACTUAL problem. My son has had his truck to this place several times. The transmission has not been right since they replaced it 10 months ago. This is his work truck and he's lost business because he doesn't have his truck. He has texts messages to prove how many times they have looked at the truck and say nothing is wrong. Over $13,000 spent and it's leaking fluid and the transmission is slipping gears. Kevin is the tech and nothing but lip service from Eric the manager. 12-03-19 Not recommend. On that date I picked up my car I had dropped off due to the blinking D light off and on and vehicle setting codes. Told me they had put their best transmission guy on it. "Recommend to replace transmission." "Fluid is full and fair condition." "No electrical issues found. Internal issue." I declined after hearing prices and short guarantees (could have bought another car for the prices) asked if changing fluid might help they said no. They did not dismantle transmission to assess nor offer to. Update today 8-18-21. My Honda accord at their assessment had 189,559 miles on it. Today I am over 250,000 miles and have had nothing done with the transmission. D light stopped flashing on its own. I saved thousands. I finally found my receipt is why it took so long to post. read more

I was referred to them by my "regular" mechanic. He wasn't able to diagnose my transmission stutter. They claim they "dropped" the pan and saw metal flakes, but could not show me the flakes because the stuff had, already, been disposed of. (ding, ding, ding. First clue) A simple transmission diagnosis turned into a $4000 transmission replacement! $4000. I was in such a shock that I did not perform the usual comparative pricing that I normally do (this should have cost no more than $2000 according to other "area shops"! Great guys, very trustworthy. I have had one transmission replaced by them and another serviced. They could have told me that the second transmission was failing, but they instead serviced it and it's been running great for over a year. They were very courteous and are willing to explain things in English. I have had a total of four transmissions replaced by them over the course of about 20 years (three at the Independence, Missouri location), and they have always done a great job for me. read more

$79 for them to tell me what I already knew, transmission or transfer case is broken. Did not drop the pan or anything. I do not suggest using their $79 troubleshooting or what have ya deal at all. Save your money. You can also find places to install a re-man'd transmission much cheaper. read more

Great service! The service manager Bobby was very professional and curtious. He took the time to explain every little detail and even went as far to show me my damaged transfer case and what caused it to go out. They also provided a really fair warranty on parts and labor to. Great bunch of guys! I love my car but the transmission was failing and I was stuck between junking it even though it's a pretty mechanically sound car given it's age, or to get the transmission fixed. I am one of those types who has only gotten their car serviced at 1 garage since I have had the car so I was hesitant to call another place to get it worked on but the mechanics I normally go to don't do transmission work and they suggested Certified Transmission. I called them up and Bobby was very nice and knowledgeable, so I set an appointment. After they looked at my car, Bobby took time to explain what was wrong with it as well as the different options I had to fix it. My car runs great!
