Hiring SertaPro Painters was a huge mistake. They rushed the job from day one--my neighbors even saw them painting a second coat over a wet first coat just to finish faster. The interior of my one-car garage only got one coat, full of missed spots, and I still paid $1,000 for patchy, low-quality work. The exterior is even worse. Within a year the paint bubbled, likely because they didn't let it cure before it rained. Their "fix" was sanding and spot-painting, which left my aluminum siding with bare, textureless patches and obvious mismatched paint. After more rain, new bubbles appeared. They now blame "moisture behind the siding" and refuse to repaint properly--only offering more patch jobs. Their warranty is worthless, and their communication is terrible. I've had to chase them down every single time; they never call back first. Most recently, they came on Sept. 23rd and said I'd hear from them in a day or two. It's now Sept. 29th, and nothing. The end result: a patchy, mismatched house, endless follow-ups, and no accountability. I'm now speaking with other painting companys and pursuing legal action to recover my money. Do not hire SertaPro Painters. The warranty is a joke, the work is sloppy, and the customer service is nonexistent. read more

We had an excellent experience with CertaPro painters painting our main and upper floors plus the garage door. They were very professional and easy to work with in planning our colors, arranging the work schedule, etc. One way to judge a good company is their service after the painting is done. We had a few touchups that needed done a few months later and they were here the very next day to get everything back to looking great. What a fantastic job certa pro painters did. We have a house that hadn't been painted in 20 years. Nicotine stains galore on the ceiling, all gone, I am very impressed, would recommend them to all my friends and family. I hired the CertaPro Painters of South Calgary to paint the exterior of my home. My overall experience with the company was excellent despite a few minor issues. Pros - Company sales associate arrived on schedule to perform a thorough painting estimate for my home's exterior. - The associate recommended a new Cloverdale paint product that would provide superior durability. - Estimate for the work was reasonably priced and well-defined. The associate also provided an optional breakout price for painting my deck. - I provided the associate with the original paints that were used on my house exterior. CertaPro was able to match the original paint colours exactly. - CertaPro held a kickoff meeting for the work. The meeting was attended by a project manager and the painters themselves. The scope of work was reviewed and confirmed. - Painters arrived ahead of schedule to begin work. They were efficient and I was impressed with how quickly they finished the work. They were able to paint some very hard to reach places on the exterior of my home. I found their work to be of high quality. Cons - There was some confusion at the outset regarding CertaPro's latest WCB Clearance, Business Licence, and General Insurance certificates. After some additional discussion the latest certificates were shared with me. - The painters spilled a small amount of paint on the grass in my backyard. Considering the large scope of the work, this was a minor issue. - The painters missed repairing some minor cracks in caulking around a window near ground level. After inspecting the cracks and discussing with CertaPro, I decided that I would repair these cracks myself. - At the conclusion of the work, CertaPro staff experienced technical difficulties with their computer system and were unable to accept my credit card for payment. This was a minor inconvenience - I paid instead by cheque. I found CertaPro's painting services to be reasonably priced, well-organized and of high quality. I encountered a few issues with their work, but these issues were relatively minor and easily addressed. I would recommend CertaPro for residential exterior painting. read more
