3/9/23 The jury is still out but so far, they're at a 4 star. It's a clean & tidy establishment with fabulous dental surgeon & staff. I will need an implant & have started the process with Dr. Gorospe-professional & highly skilled. The staff are fabulous, Gabby at the front desk, Mari, one of the techs, newly hired, Paula-all wonderful, caring & accommodating. The issue is with the payment discrepancy. I was already daunted from the get go when many other customers have mentioned that this practice is a bit more on the pricey side albeit highly recommended. In reviewing the bill, I found an overcharge due to incorrect claims/processing (if it's just $50 some $$, maybe I'd let it slide...but a $1000?). As I've mentioned--the jury is still out. Dr. Gorospe and his team took care of me post wisdom tooth infection. I got hit pretty bad in march and needed their panoramic x-rays. They were friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and warm. Dr. Gorospe was straightforward and reassuring. The environment is quite relaxing and very clean. They don't let anyone in until they are screened for temp and fill out waivers. They even have separate rooms with their own doors, so that's great especially during COVID. They have 3 consultation rooms and 2 surgery rooms. I decided to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out and stay awake throughout the process, I was allowed to listen to music as they worked on me and they did a great job and I am healing up nicely, now I can go back to eating normally and enjoying my food. I encourage everyone to adjust their expectations and to understand what's covered by your insurance and what is not, so there won't be any surprises. Also, be ready to pay for more than you think you will be paying because not everything is set in stone until you receive word of what your insurance will cover. Overall, Dr. Gorospe and his team gave exceptional service, especially for the situation I was in, and treated me well, if they were in my network, he would be my primary dentist! read more

I just came here to have my lower #18 molar removed. I have had root canals and a previous extractions done with others, but I have never had one where I did not feel the injections for local anesthesia. Even the "pinch" on my upper pallet was not much of a pinch or pain at all, and I saw the needle. The extraction was quick. I did not know Dr. Gorospe was already finished. The staff is awesome. I recommend this place the doctor and staff were nice and accommodating. I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled out today. I have high anxiety and dont like to be stuck laying down along time. The process was fast it took about twenty minutes and I had local anesthesia. I didn't feel any pain during and I took pain medicine once I got home. An initial consult is $105 out of pocket. He took out my wisdom teeth too but he said he made my mouth smaller! I woke up with bloody tissues in my mouth and numb lips as we were walking to the car. Afterwards my muscles were so stiff I had to eat mashed potatoes for a week before I could graduate to swallowing baked beans. At least I didn't have a sore throat or bruising. I had a secondary infection that they didn't believe until they saw half my face swell so I looked like a chipmunk. Wisdom tooth extraction cost $450/tooth and add $200 for nitrous. When I wasn't rinsing my mouth with saltwater, I lived in bed with ice packs and a diet of antibiotics + sweet sweet vicodin. The sutures dissolve. I got my consultation on 5/4/22 and the next day was booked for surgery. I was very nervous but the doctor and nurses reassured me. They were very gentle and made me feel a whole lot better. Went here to get my wisdom teeth out which seemed to go well until I had sharp pieces of bone sticking out of my gums at the bottom. It was very bad and scraping my tongue and causing me much pain. The Dr mentioned this when he took my wisdom teeth out and said to chew lightly?!?!?! I asked him what if they cause me problems and he said I'd have to have another procedure to shave the bone down ?!?! Why wouldn't he do that while he was taking the teeth out if he saw that the bone was protruding? So about a month after the surgery the sharp pieces of bone cut through the inside of my gums and was causing a lot of pain. I went in to see what they could do and he looked at it and said I could make an appointment to have it shaved down. Another procedure?!?! And it would cost $1,000 ?!?!?! NOPE So I went home and ordered a dental bone file from Amazon and filed it down myself. It did hurt a little bit and I had to do it a couple times but finally I filed the jagged piece down enough for the gums to close and heal over. He could've just taken literally 5 minutes to do what I did but nooo it's all about the money smh. read more

I went to my initial appointment for an evaluation. The doctor looked in my mouth and saw the obvious, I have an abscess at the root of the tooth I need pulled. The doctor was asking me questions while they were trying to take my blood pressure which is stupid. I was already upset with them for seeming to be more concerned about getting paid than taking care of me so him talking to me while I'm trying to relax for the blood pressure measurement was unbelievable. The reading showed too high and he said I had to deal with that first. For this, I had to pay $125. I feel violated. I'm not going back. read more

I went to their old location off the 91 on Artesia but found out they relocated to another address. The new spot has a clean and modern look. I came by to check with Oral Surgery service. The front desk was very helpful once you show up to the location. Aside from slow service phone calls [ hold times ] they are very attentive once you are in the office. During the consultation they have you watch a short 12 minute video in the mean time while you wait for the Surgeon Dr. Gorospe. Once you finish the video the assistant has you answer questions about the video that confirms that you understand what will be going on during your surgery. Which I find comforting since they want you to understand your procedure than what you may or may not already know. The Dr. was friendly and informative and staff was accommodating. I am not skeptical about this place and feel comfortable in the hands of this doctor. read more

After my consultation, here, I was charged $195...... Dr. Kaminishi charges $60 for consultations. I didn't pay out of pocket for D0150 consultation but the amount was taken off my coverage amount causing me to charged more for the actual extraction procedure. Very organized with decent amount of parking. Lobby has magazines and top rnb easy listening music in the background. Staff Customer Service Staff is very sweet and informative. Experience I love that this place is very modernized and updated with online patient paperwork including state of the art X-ray equipments. I'm very happy with this place. It's been four years since I completed my implant with no problems. In the mean time, my son had to have emergency wisdom teeth removal and they were very kind to him. The doctor is really efficient and follow up care was excellent. I've have also had my 85 year old mom come in for three implants to replace a failing bridge. They were super careful with her including having an anesthesiologist come in for the surgery to assure the best outcome. She has had a great outcome. I'll leave others to judge Dr. Gorospe's skills as an oral surgeon. I visited with my wife for a consultation for extraction. After dealing with two different techs for gathering basic information, the doctor discussed procedures and possibilities, etc. fairly clearly. We then had FOUR technicians rotating in and out of the room. One of the technicians kept looking at my wife's referral sheet, then left the room, then would come back to look again! She finally took the paperwork away for a while, but when she came back she threw it on the table as if she were disgusted with the paper for trying to play tricks on her memory. I was quoted three different times after a I noticed a discrepancy on the first quote. At this point, my wife and I were fed up and just wanted to leave. If the technicians were this terrible and incompetent, my wife didn't want to find out if the doctor was as bad. I hope we caught them on a bad day. read more
