I've so far bought a scooter and a bike here. I got zero pressure and good information from Eric and Jason. They were smooth and transparent about terms, making the purchases quick and hassle-free. As a new rider, I had a lot of questions, and the sales and service teams were always helpful, never condescending. They do have a good inventory, with plenty of selections in most ranges. I'll look to them for service and keep them on my list next time I shop for a bike.

Bought a car from Sean from Selective Wheels in Windber and on my way home from driving it from the…read morelot the check engine light came on. I immediately contacted Sean in who which responded "it should be OK stop back when you have time, probably an o2 sensor" This merely confirms he had knowledge of the already existing issue but cleared the light/code before selling it. He was nice enough to cover the fee for inspection since it had run out. However, when I took it to get inspected the garage would not pass it due to it needing- Brakes, Rotors AND Tires. So not only did I purchase a vehicle with pre-existing mechaninical issues, but it wasn't even street legal. After the garage and I contacted Sean he did buy the needed parts to allow it to pass inspection. I asked about the o2 sensor since it was still under warranty (30 days or 1,000 miles / dealer pays 10% cost of part and labor) and his response was "we'll worry about that later." Come to find out not only did it need an oxygen sensor but a catalytic converter. Definitely not cheap repairs which only leaves me to believe they were avoided and hidden intentionally so it became someone else's/my problem. Sean mentioned to me the vehicle was used for personal use by his daughter and wife and his wife ended up rear-ending another vehicle and had to replace a few parts. Not a big deal considering there weren't any perminant problems. I noticed the car had a remote starter installed so when asking about the fob/starter he said it must be at home and he will look for it. A month and several weeks had gone by and of course he hadn't found it which boggles my mind considering it was being used as a personal vehicle for some time. Overall absolute terrible experience especially for my first time buying a vehicle. I was nothing less than a respectable customer but I feel as if I was screwed over by a VERY POOR "businessman." After sharing my story and researching reviews, many others have had similar experiences and share the same opinion in regards to his reputation. My advice, stay clear and do your research before you buy a car.

If you plan on buying a car from here be sure to check it over very well, and I wouldn't recommend buying anything priced over $4,000. But hey, to each his own. Owner is very nice though and is willing to negotiate a little.

I had looked at several bikes at Bob's BMW in Jessup MD, but also wanted to look at a R1200RS, which Bob's did not have in their inventory. I had originally purchase the F800R from Bob's and really like their dealership, and felt that going to Kissel, another BMW dealership would probably be a similar experience. I had been corresponding with Haley about the bike, and determined a date to go visit for a test ride. Unfortunately, Haley wasn't there that day as she was getting married, but as i walked in and greeted Evan and explained who i was and why i was there, it was apparent that they were expecting me. Evan took me to the bike, which was in the service area of the building, getting a look over preparing the bike for the test ride. They let me swing a leg over and allowed me to look over the bike as they were preparing it. i noticed some very minor things, (clutch lever needed to be rotated up a little bit, clamp was a little loose) but overall the bike appeared clean, and in good condition for a 10 year old bike. The bike did have over 50k on the odometer, which was not an overall concern as i've heard very good things about the longevity of the 1200 boxer motor, and the tech also commented, "Mine has over 70K". I went and sat with Evan for a short period of time while they finished preparing the bike. He explained the test ride route, which was a short out and back on the main road, and i put on my gear and went for a ride. The bike in general seemed flawless, and i was very happy with the ride. When i got back, Evan said "so are you ready to buy it"? I said i think so, but had some other questions, most of which were prepared for me by the salesperson at Bob's. Evan answered what he could and also took me to the service area where i spoke with the service manager about what they did and didn't know about the bike's history, their inspection of the bike once they received it as a trade in, and what was done to it to prepare it for sale. It was a good conversation, however, i felt that the responses to some of hte questions were a little bit "guarded", perhaps because they didn't know, or maybe there was information they didn't want to provide. None the less, i purchased the bike and rode it home 150 miles, smile on my face the whole way. The primary reason i didn't give a higher number of stars, is i just felt like they just wanted to get me out of there. All of the processes went smoothly. Raelynn in the finance office was fantastic (i paid cash) so the paperwork was minimal. When i finally did get on the bike to leave, there was no fan fare for their new customer that just purchased a bike. No one saw me off and said "congratulations", took my picture for their web site or anything. I actually had to ask, "OK, am i good to go now"? Since then, i have learned that some of the maintenance questions i had been asking were related to a BMW issue with the driveshaft on the bike. They were answering my questions and telling me that the driveshaft would be replaced by BMW at 60k miles, but didn't let on to the reason why. I feel that this was kept from me in pursuit of the sale, rather than being transparent with the customer. I have no concerns about the bike or the drive shaft, however, i do feel that the way it was handled shed some light on the manner in which Kissel deals with their customers. I love the bike and am very happy with it.

The motorcycles in their showroom were all in great shape, and the staff were quite friendly. They were fast with the whole process of buying the bike, the longest part being the loan application and approval. They do an inspection upon intake of the bike, and they do the state inspection again when you purchase it and will walk you around the motorcycle to show you what you need to know and to answer any questions you may have. They make sure to send you off with a smile, giving you a Hillview T-Shirt and snapping a picture with your new purchase. After everything, Travis helped us load the bike, riding it onto the trailer and helped fasten it down properly. Will definitely do business here again.
