Today, our Blackout Tinting specialists arrived on time to apply film to our windows and sliding door. Polite young men introduced themselves and proceeded to confirm what work to be completed. Soon they were working at applying the film. A few hours later, they informed us they completed the job and wanted to review their job and take questions. After going over care for film we had some questions and received good responses. We're very happy with Blackout Tinting and would highly recommend this company for residential applications. I valued the excellent window tinting job and the speedy service on my friend's car. I'm eager to have my own car tinted in the future.

This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a business owner. We brought my (brand new) BMW X3 here on a Saturday morning to get ceramic coated. My husband handed the keys off to an attendant and we left; no one looked our car over (like they'd do at a rental car place) to see if there was any pre-existing damage (there wasn't). So we drove off and heard nothing from them again over the 7 total days they had our car, figured everything was fine. Flash forward to the next Sunday when we go to pick the car up. My husband goes into the shop, the owner and other guys in there tell him everything's good, give us our keys and we drive away. I get one mile down the road, look up towards my rear view mirror, and see a 15-inch long crack in my windshield. We immediately turn around and head back to the shop where, of course, the owner knew exactly what we were back for. Why would you not mention anything about a crack in the windshield when we first got there? He literally just let us leave to discover it ourselves. Then he claims that the crack was there when we dropped the car off (it wasn't) and that "because of the cold weather it grew throughout the week". IF that were true -- don't you think you'd call the car owner and let them know about a huge, growing crack in their windshield? Not ignore it and then try to hide it later on when they come to pick up their vehicle. This entire situation was handled extremely poorly. The owner offered no remedy to the windshield, insuring it was our fault and that he had no responsibility for it. When my husband told him we would have no choice but to get other people involved his response was "that's what I have insurance for." We have no issue paying for top-notch work, but I'd prefer to give my money to honest business owners. Our 45-day old SUV now needs a completely new windshield through no fault of our own, and he refused to take accountability for it. What a shame because from other reviews we really thought we were dealing with a top notch place here in the Pittsburgh area. We paid for our entire car to get ceramic coated, including the windshield, and now that we need to get a new windshield we're out the money we paid for the windshield coating. I would definitely look elsewhere I was charged $200 for about $10 worth of tint. Now I understand that I am paying for a professional job. THIS I DID NOT GET!! This was clearly a rush job. Bubbles cracks ect. I left a review on their Facebook site and all of a sudden they reply and offer to "fix" the issue. I had my Ford Raptor protected with XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH PPF on the full front end and rocker panels. The STEALTH satin film was put on the fender flares to match the factory satin finish. I also had them install XPEL XR PLUS window tint to every piece of glass including the windshield and the sunroof for optimal heat rejection and UV protection. I can't say enough good things about the entire team at Blackout Tinting. Love these guys! They take awesome care of my Subaru WRX and my husbands Subaru Forester. We get them detailed and have gotten the ceramic coating, window tint and clear bras on each vehicle.
