Since turning on our service in June, 2021. It took 3 months to actually get a human out for our intermittent issue, service up and down. Every apt set up was cancelled by the computer and I would have to call, spend another 1-2 hours trying to reach CS to get scheduled again and wait another 2 weeks, for it to get cancelled by the computer again, over and over and over. Finally resolved in August only to start having issues again in November. Since I know I will get nowhere, I wait until February to try getting someone out. Again, every time I call the company, the sytem hangs up on me. I try to chat online, and ask if they can call me if we get disconnected, as my service is going to shut us down. Online person said to call in AFTER telling him I had been trying that for 2 hours. It took a month to get someone to my home today, after fighting that process only for him to tell me all looks good. I said, YES, today. Intermittent is like that and when I have the problem, I can't reach anyone to see it. I pushed back and he finally said he would contact someone that could see a long history of data. Lo and behold, right away that person who could view historical data could tell I had settings wrong and they fixed them. I hope it is fixed this time. that is what they said back in August. The tech was a bit defensive, saying, if you think our process is bad, you should see what Company X does. We are not that bad. REALLY!? It is end of March and it might have been a simple setting? Unfortunatly, there are not enough choices of reliable companies available where I live, or I would switch in a heartbeat! If you want actual help, do an internet search for cenurylink complaints and send an email there. That is the only way to actually get their attention. System still cancelled my apts set by them, but at least I was emailing and communicating with someone. read more

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST company ever. They are unable to complete the simple task of connecting internet to a residence. It's almost like the right hand and the left hand don't even know the other exist.. a complete cluster muck from get go. Started w the online portal crappy and then after I got the internet ordered on one showed up. Supposedly Thursday 8 to 5 for installation no one showed up got on chat online no solution, called csr set up the appt for cable to be dropped on Friday and internet connected on Monday between 8 and 10 am (call an hour before arrival) no call tech showed up apparently Friday's tech didn't do his job so they could connect the internet. The solution was "someone would come back and lay the cable and then they'd b in touch" ARE U SERIOUS? How long? could b 2 weeks ... I'd say some folks need to lose their job and a great deal more supervision and a whole lot more attention to customer service and my time!!! They are the worst I have ever dealt with. This is the worst company to deal with. They have no customer service and will leave you hanging. Have been trying to get service for a month now and was told by supervisor "we will get an update within 10 business days and yes it could be another month or more before you can get service." read more

CenturyLink disconnected my Internet service when I requested o my phone line disconnected. After four phone calls and being put off until Saturday morning, tech support can't do anything to restore it because the request has to go through Customer Care. So-called "Customer Care" is conveniently closed on the weekends so our Internet service is down from Friday afternoon until who knows when next week. All kinds of alarms going off in our house because of no Internet. Thanks so much, CenturyLink. Update: seven days later we have our Internet back. I increased my rating because Centurylink has given us a significant credit for the time out of service and the inconvenience. I applaud their phone representatives, who were very polite and professional, even when they couldn't do anything to help. It actually didn't work when they turned it back on, they had to do something in their substation and because of the delays in scheduling and a fluke outage one day, it still took four more days. Tip: FB messenger is a convenient way to chat with customer service because they will keep in touch even over several days, and when the rep I chatted with was going to be off for a while another took the conversation over. However I don't know if the person chatting with me ever did anything .... I still say their automated phone system is frustrating and it takes forever to make phone calls to them. My calls took at least 30 minutes; and one was 55 minutes. They put you on hold to talk to other departments or chat with other departments. One promised service didn't get scheduled because of an outage in our area but no one let us know - my husband waited all afternoon for a no show. All in all - they could use some improvement but not as bad as I gave them credit for last week. Lol. read more
