We had a most disappointing experience and regret having used Common Ground Landscapes. Our…read morelandscape architect suggested we hire them. Scott prepared a quote using the plants identified by the architect. After we signed the contract, he said we needed to modify the plants because the prices he relied upon off of the internet were not current and the plants specified cost too much. To save money, we agreed to substitutions. No further discussions about the price were had. When the job finished, Scott sent an invoice that was 20% higher than the quote (an additional $13K). I paid him the full amount he requested. Nonetheless, quality and support are missing. The smaller plants installed were exceptionally small and looked unhealthy. It was September and we were assured they would look good by spring. It's been one year. Many did not survive and those that did remain unhealthy. (The trees and bushes survived okay. This is not an issue of caring for the plants.) We will need to replace and supplement the plants. Scott also did the landscape lighting. Several path lights are out within one year and another is broken. I have had these lights for nearly 10 years at two different houses and never had an issue. Scott is completely unresponsive to these issues.

Him and his team did a great job, on time and the cleanup is great - my property looks better than it did before they got here. Safety is their #1 concern - took a few extra branches because they were dead and hung over my carport. I will use again for any future tree projects as Treeman's Tree Service knows their stuff!
