The owner was kind enough to meet with us and agree to do the repairs but that never happened. This ended up being a severe mistake as I then discovered damage to my gate. Minor, but clearly nobody cared to take note of it, contact me about it or fix it. When I contacted again, I was told I must be confused on my part, as the careless team that runs heavy machinery through wet yards couldn't have been the same careless team that ran that heavy machinery up against a bolt, splitting the wood and bending it out of place. For this service, you're better off renting machinery from Lowe's and doing the damage yourself. I was told quote "this is an unusually slow time" as there's been a lot of competition from tree companies starting more work from the hurricane that came through. It's sounding like that competition has been the better option for people, and I didn't get that hint.

I chose to pay a daily rate and the crew got much more accomplished than the competitors quoted. However next time I use them I will request a fixed scope quoted so that there is no ambiguity. Also on the quote sheet "SG" means stump grinding so make sure that is understood. We had some miscommunication but Randall kept his word and made it good with a second trip to my house. I have alot of respect for a businessman that puts integrity first. Make sure to speak and work with Harold or Randall and you will be treated fairly.

We asked him to blow the leaves off the back of our property, as well as remove small trees and brush. He only did a portion of the work, and we had to remind him we wanted the entire back done, despite making this a top priority in our first meeting. Even then he left out a portion, and had to be reminded again to do what had been asked. The flowers and plants were planted without due attention to detail, as well as insufficient fertilizing with the supplies we had bought for that purpose. We've had to go over all the plantings and do them properly afterwards. He transplanted some azaleas from the front to the back yard, and only one of the three was done properly. Again, we've had to fix what he had done improperly. The river rocks spread over our garden beds was done well at first, but as the job progressed it got sloppier. I spent quite a bit of time rectifying this situation by adding more rocks and making it neat. There's just very little attention to detail evident in the work he did, and not a great deal of care was applied. There was always a sense of the work being rushed instead of applying the care it needed. Our lawn has felt the effects from his truck and excavator driving on it, and some spots will not be growing back without replanting. It looked like a battlefield when he was done. If you do hire BDS, make sure you are watchful for his use of the truck and excavator. They can do real damage, as they did to our property. I will also add that he did damage to our driveway, and refuses to acknowledge it. We had a crack in the driveway before he came, and now it is much more than a crack, and that part of the driveway is collapsing into pieces. I asked him to send me pictures he said proved that he didn't do it, but he never did, despite being asked twice. The neighbors have also commented on the damage that he did. All I can say is, if you are considering BDS, you've been warned.
