You can feel they truly care about their patients and they have always made my times here a great experience! The recommendations and treatments they provide are specific for the issue and it has made a positive difference for me. They do everything they can to help you get well again and I really like their approach of trying to help the body heal with natural treatments before going to medications, while not avoiding medication if necessary. In general everything about this clinic is fantastic. The people are very nice, the atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant, the food is healthy and very good, the rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. And they are continuously improving and expanding the facilities to meet the patients' needs as well as adding to their list of specialized treatments. Love this place!

I have been visiting Dr. James for the past 20 years, and I can say full heartedly he is the reason I am here today. Dr. James gave me a second opportunity to see my children grow up, by helping me with all the illnesses I have endured over the past years. Dr. James is quite frankly, a saving grace to my life. I want to thank Dr. James and all the staff at the Good Samaritan Medical Center, who have helped me throughout these years, not just by helping me, but as well as my entire family. My entire family is a patient of Dr. James and will remain as so, god forbid. There's a reason I met Dr. James when he came to visit Houston, he was the saving grace God sent to heal me. I just once again want to thank Dr. James and the entire staff at the Good Samaritan Medical Center thank you from the bottom of my heart. If anyone is looking for a doctor that truly cares about you and will help you get healthy once again, please visit Dr. James at the Good Samaritan Medical Center; I recommend him and his staff 100%.

These people are on a first name patients with their patients & not just the Doctors, the entire staff! Once we got in to her exam room, the Medical Assistant, Jesse was taking her vitals & I told him that my Grandfather passed away & if there was anything he could do to get us through the appointment fast, it would be greatly appreciated because his services were in just a few hours. This staff sprung in to action! Jeff Taylor, the Nurse Practitioner who she was assigned to came in to the exam room, looked straight in to her eyes and sincerely apologized for her loss. He addressed her pain and distress in a professional and compassionate manor & we were on our way in no time. On the way out, she was hugged and greeted by this wonderful staff. I live in Los Angeles and can't be with my Grandmother but I'm so grateful for this caring staff & feel relieved that they care for her so well. It eases my mind like you wouldn't believe. Thank you, I know she is in good hands with you!

The staff and nurses were all kind and courteous to me. They all had good bed side manners. They don't speak English so you'll have to know some Spanish or have someone with you who can translate. The rooms are small but come with the essentials: a comfy bed, TV, bathroom. They don't have food available at all times. There was a couple who makes and serves breakfast and lunch downstairs for a few pesos. The food was very good. I had some chicken and rice one day. The next day I had some fruit. I wasn't that hungry after surgery. Before your hospital discharge, you'll need to pay for all services rendered. Be sure and have U.S. dollars or Mexican pesos with you. They may be able to accept a U.S. credit card but they'll charge you fees. You won't be able to leave the hospital if you don't have the money upfront. It's best to know exactly how much it's going to cost before the procedure. This way you know how much to bring with you. Bring a little bit of extra money if possible. The Mexican healthcare system is not the same as the American healthcare system. You can get great service and healthcare in Mexico for a very good price. Be sure and do research on the medical places and doctors online first. Don't just go anywhere. The surgery I had in Mexico would've cost me at least $50,000 in El Paso. If I had insurance, it still would've cost me at least $6000 out of pocket. The surgery here was $2000, for the surgery and to spend one night in the hospital. Being prepared and doing research beforehand is the name of the game here. You also need to trust your healthcare provider and their locale with your life in their hands...literally.

Then the MA Ricardo asked my grandfather about his medications which we had brought in with us to show them. He had me place them on the exam table and he proceeded to ask my grandfather if he knew his medications. My grandfather replied "not really" the MA then proceeded to say I'm going to read what we have in your chart and you tell me if you are on them or not. We brought them in for you to see and he voiced he really wasn't sure about what medications he was on why as an MA can you not go through the medications yourself to make sure they are correct in your system. After Ricardo went through the list my grandfather had to sign that his medications were verified. He didn't even bother to go through the medications that were still on the exam table. Then we were there in the exam room for an hour and a tablet was brought into the room and we were told the provider was going to see my grandfather on a tablet. NP Rachel calls us after another long wait to give result. My grandfather asks "aren't you going to come in to see me?" She replies "well I could if you want me to but I'd have to find a mask but like I said of you are having any issues breathing you would need to go to the ER because we don't treat that here" we definitely asked for her to come in and complete a full exam" as a provider it is literally your job to do so. We were asked in the beginning of our visit by the receptionist what we would have done if their office was not open and we had responded "go to the ER" after that visit I think we would have gotten better service!! Please beware of you are sending your loved ones here they are not getting the best care they can if they are not even going in to examine them or checking their medications correctly!! I called today on 2/18/24 and spoke to Cynthia to let them know once of my grandfathers medications needed a PA or to have the instructions changed because what was sent out went over the insurance maximum allowed so I'm hoping at least that gets fixed! Pending a call back or a correction.

I'm also going to share a bit about my issues as a woman. Let's just say I've gone to a few doctors for a polycystic ovary and endometriosis for about 10 or 11 years now. I have to say Dr. Son at Texas Tech is wonderful. I think I finally found a trustworthy and smart doctor after all of these years. She really wants to help me and isn't out to get money. She is really knowledgeable. Anyway... Two doctors I've gone to have recommended surgery so this has been done twice for me. However, Dr. Son feels like that should be a last resort. Where has she been all of my life? Dr. Son is a specialist for endometriosis and other women's issues. She's in Obstetrics/Gynecology. If you or someone you know has this, I'd suggest seeing her or another specialist at Texas Tech. They know a lot about it. Honestly, I prefer seeing a female doctor over a male. Yes, men go to school for many years and know a lot but women just seem to understand other women better. That's the best way I can explain it. Nothing against male doctors but I just feel more comfortable with female doctors nowadays. Texas Tech is super organized, too which I appreciated. They called me twice to remind me of my appointment. They also texted me to remind and send me the information to fill out rather than waiting until I got there. There was a bit of a wait but it was all worth it. Dr. Son is personable and has good bedside manners. That's sort of a rarity these days. I felt at ease talking to her about my issues. Texas Tech is a great place to go to for the uninsured and those who want to save money. They have clinics all over the city so you aren't limited to just their Alberta location. They also do virtual appointments. They offer a discount on co-pays and medication, along with other services. You have to apply for this discount by emailing them some forms. Call 915-215-4849 for more information. Highly recommend coming here! I'm impressed with the level of professionalism by the staff! I also saw a couple of doctors from Texas Tech when I went to the ER about 2 months ago. They were also great! The cost wasn't outrageous either. The ER doctor referred me to their OBGYN department and so did a nurse practitioner from another clinic I go to at times.

If I had a dog…read morewith a cancer diagnosis I would shoot it before allowing it to be treated at el paso tx oncology. My journey began with meeting my oncologist that I know was not a good fix. After 5 days of thinking and meditating on it i called, El Paso oncology to request a transfer of oncologist. I contacted El paso on 4/20/26. I was told I would receive a call back. No one called me from the oncology team. On 4/24/26 I contact them at 9Am sharing the latter information. I was again told I would be contacted regarding my concerns to change oncologist. At 2pm on 4/24/26 I called El Paso Tx oncology again sharing my frustration at not receiving a call back. Each person I spoke to asked me the same question. What was the reason for requesting the change I share that information approximately 4 times. On 4/24/26 after my many calls I was call by the medical assistant. She said the only way to get out of working with this oncologist was to meet with him in person and tell him the reason I want a new oncologist? Say what? I explained since I was dx on 4/15/2. Ive had to take time off to meet with oncoligust to get biopsy results, go for blood work, meeting to discuss genetic testing, more blood work and a schedule pet scan. While i was willing to meet, I did not want to take more time off just so I could tell this oncologist I no longer wanted to work with him.we agreed that on my next visit I would do both things. I explained I was not going to change my mind about the transfer. I assumed I would hear about my transfer, I did not, so I called Tx oncology. The second team members called and stated i would not get transfered until I met with my current oncologist, he agrees to let me transfer, and he calls another MD to speaks with them and they agree to take me on as a patient. I explained that was unacceptable, El Paso Tx oncology's job is the betterment of the patient not to coddle MD. BtW there is no time line for this Transfer it's based on the whim of the oncologists.i admit I became angry. She stated she would have the RN manager for the team call me. She did while I was in a proceedure. She stated she would call me back. She did not! so I called again. The RN tells me the MD at el paso tx Oncology are busy. Only the MD i dont want to work with can get me transferred, that is my only option. When I complain about delayed treatment she said my treatment is not delayed. I admit I got angry. She then says I have the right to go some where else. All the doctors Ive requested are at el paso oncology. She says she can provide doc outside of El Paso tx oncology. I ask for that information. She only has 3 doctors. I repeat 3 doctors. I called the 1st referral and the number sends me in circles I cannot schedule an appointment. That leave 2.clearly im not valued enough to receive treatment, even with excellent insurance. Now im breaking down and im crying. Something ive not done since this process began.again tx Oncology is a disaster, cold, ridiculous business that does not. I repeat does not care about cancer patients.one star is too high.
