When Shama, the owner emerged from behind her back room, I immediately felt like I was visiting a dear friend. She welcomed us with open arms. I told her the reason for our visit and she spent so much time each with both myself and my daughter helping us select the best pendant for each of us. Not only did she help us select a pendant, but she taught us how to know whether that pendant was the best for us at this particular moment in our lives and how to use them. Shama is also a powerful and knowledgeable Healer, who demonstrated this by also giving us a reading during the pendant selection process. The man wasn't doing anything that I could see to warrant being singled out. Hearing someone be judged and treated like a potential criminal because of how he looked was deeply upsetting. I walked out without buying anything. There are plenty of businesses where I can spend my money without wondering whether another customer is being followed around the store because of his race or ethnicity. Don't be fooled by the simple storefront. This store is deep and wide indoors with lots of inspirational merchandise, books, Bibles, artwork, and treasures tastefully displayed throughout the massive space. Again, wow. Cindy, the owner, warmly introduced herself to me and showed me to Bible journaling supplies to the back corner of the shop. I had to literally slow down and carefully look around. There were simply plenty of inspirational treasures and positive messages around this Christian book store. Cindy also asked about me. I love Christian book stores whenever city or town I can find them. With so many of them closing at major cities, this store is a ray of light in a long tunnel of worldly stores ---- a definite breath of Spirit-filled fresh air. I thanked Cindy for opening an amazing Christian store near my home. I bought two hand painted plaques at 40% off, two Christian books at 60 % off and regularly priced Bible journaling materials.
