There is a high demand of students wanting to go back to a on person campus and this school is one of the 12% that are open in WA state. The Governor Jay Inslee has recognized that private schools are outstanding in learning and has declared that February is Private School month. It's amazing.

I attended lcas from 3rd to 8th grade and the experience I had here was horrible and detrimental…read more Mrs. Davis (3rd through 5th grade teacher) was incredibly rude and disrespectful, often mistreating students. Lunches were restricted unless you were done with your work, and then you'd miss recess because you had to eat. I often overheard her badmouthing fellow classmates, with the teachers aid, about them being incapable of learning their timetables, when they just needed a little more support. This teacher had a handful of mental breakdowns in the middle of class, one during our greek and latin lessons when the class laughed over the word sex (six in latin). She went on to give our class a lecture about how sex is a beautiful thing and so is having children etc. etc. The 6th to 8th teacher is only better by a little bit. Mrs. Cook, was nice from an outer perspective, but in reality she had horrible problem solving skills. At one point, my friend was being bullied because of her race and called the N word. Mrs. Cook decided to talk to the student who was bullying my friend right in front of her, making it even harder for my friend to be attending the school, especially since she was the only black person there at the time. Mrs. Cook would also often use students personal lives as examples for class, mine beinf brought up on multiple occasions. Of course, being an awkward and self-conscious teen, I had no choice but to go along with it. On top of the teachers being bad, the sex education we received was even worse. The boys, according to one of my friends, talked about porn and masturbation (real things all awkward tween and teenagers experience) and received candy. The girls, on the other hand, had a very long conversation about periods and embarrassing first period stories, we each received a china tea cup and had to go around in a circle saying our name and that we are to be treated like a tea cup, fragile and easily broken. This school is a terrible environment for young women of any race. The years I spent here will never leave me. I was the most depressed and unmotivated I had ever been while attending lcas. When I first arrived at lcas, I would wear my family members thumb print pendant every day, as the loss was extremely hard for me. The principal at the time, told me if she saw me wearing it again it would be taken since it violated the dress code policies. She told me it could be made into a laminated pin I could wear on my clothes instead, as if it was meaningless. I was in 3rd grade when that incident happened and had just lost my family member. This school is no place for a child who you want to flourish and live happily in life. This school tore apart my creativity, my hope, and my faith in the world and religion.

As one of my primary spirit animals, wolves have such a profound effect on my behavior, personality, and even appearance. My monochrome wardrobe is inspired by the gorgeous shades of color that wolves are comprised of and I even have an inclination towards the moon because of wolves. Big thumbs up for our experience at the Centralia Beauty College!…read more My two boys needed to get their hair cut and we'd been looking and searching around at places around the area that we felt comfortable with, would do a good job, and not charge an arm and a leg. I decided to call the Beauty College and got the scoop from the very helpful receptionist and decided to book their appointments. I am very glad we did. From the start, I asked and the receptionist helped me schedule both boys at the same time with side-by-side stylists that were good with kids and during a time of day that wasn't too busy (knowing that a louder and busier time would be way too overwhelming for the kids). We had Nicole and Kenzie as our stylists and both did a great job with the cuts. They were patient, kind, and took their time with the cut and made sure things were okay as they went along. They listens to me as I explained what type of cut we were wanting and to look at the sample pictures that I brought. The boys liked them both too, and said that they felt comfortable and would be good with going back to them again. The prices are great there as well. They have a tiered pricing scale depending on the level of the stylist (Level 1 is the least expensive and experienced stylist and it works up to a Level 5). Nicole and Kenzie were Level 2 (they will undoubtedly move up the scale as they work) and charge just $15 for a cut - and it was 10% off for kids. I'll certainly schedule the boys again and would recommend you give them a shot too. Not to mention when the owners couldn't get to their grocery pick up due to COVID-19, my family personally bought the daycare groceries to help them get back up and running. Money was raised for this daycare multiple times and we didn't see one dime put into the building or the kids. They received a shuttle bus in donation so the kids didn't have to walk, rain or shine because the school district doesn't allow a school bus to stop because they are technically in walking distance. The bus was never used and sat in the parking lot until it disappeared. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your childcare. They put up a good front until its time to go separate ways and then you see their true colors.
