He extracted the tooth and then convinced me to not only replace the tooth with an implant but to get an implant for a second tooth that had previously been removed. I was told the total cost would be $5,500. I was never told that for this amount it would only be the posts inserted and it would be an additional $5,000 more to have the actual teeth implanted. There was never any discussion that I would be charged an additional amount. When I went for a check up to confirm that my mouth had healed and the implants could be inserted, I was then told about the additional $5,000. Now I know why the parking lot was empty and why I was able to get an appointment within a few days of contacting them.

I said fine but we need the denture repaired. Finally after about 15 minutes of back and forth and explaoning cost wasn't the issueĺ but getting it dobe same day was because of tge extensive travel we were involved - and the reason we came based on Aspen's asserton. Our appt was for 9:45- after approx 45 minutes, he was seen by ? Dentist and we were told denture could be repaired and would be ready by 4:00. Not sure why this was such an issue - the desk staff seemed quite put out when I said that it was asserted to me that it could be done same day and that's what we wanted and expected. We got through this but I can't say the experience at Waynesbiro Aspen Dental was easy or welcoming.

The dental assistant was very rude. She did not coach through the painful aspects of my procedure -- she scolded. The dentist was rough in my mouth. This made me squirm. As I did, Dr. Crowder kept asking in a rather sarcastic tone, "Are we going to get this completed"? A song came on and the dental assistant and dentist sang along with it right over my head. How unprofessional! I couldn't ask them to stop because of the way they had my mouth propped wide open. I waved my hands around hoping that would alert them to take the prop out of my mouth so I could ask them to please stop singing. All the assistant did was scold me for moving again. She said once again in a cool tone, "You have got to stop moving around". The dental assistant tuned the nitrous oxide off before everything was done. I asked her to please leave it on. We are new here in the Shenandoah Valley (just moved from TN) and this has never happened anywhere else. Other practices left it on until they were completely done. The assistant stated that I didn't need it anymore while they were still working! How does she know what I need. I paid $100.00 cash for the nitrous oxide and I should have been able to choose how long I needed it! I cancelled my next appointment and I'm never going back. Don't make the mistake that by checking this practice out!

They've expanded into two offices in the same building and even have a relaxation room if you get there early which I did. Do not go here. I had a pull that wasn't stitched at the discretion of Dr. Ibanez, it bleed…read moreunnecessarily all night and the next day. I've had several pull done before this and each dentist had the discretion to stitch the flaps of loose skin together. For my second visit and installing the tooth, I was prescribed amoxicillin which had already been noted that I was allergic to in the first surgery. The amoxicillin had to be swapped out for Clindamycin and along the way the pain med and the mouth rinse dropped off the Costco formulary when I went to pick it up. I requested to have that phoned back in but received push back from the admin Bethany stating that it will be phoned over a few days before the surgery. I work for the military and have an unforgiving schedule and wanted to pick it up on the weekend and expressed as much to the office worker Bethany. This request was made over 8 days ago and now that I am 7 days out and looking to pick it up this weekend. Dr. refused to phone my meds in for an entire week and even now as I am 7 days to the oral surgery and have time on the weekend was still being stone walled. Due to their negligence in ignoring a documented antibiotic allergy, the office was required to submit a correctio order to Costco, and in canceling the first order, they did not bother to ensure that the oral rinse and pain meds were still in the formulary. Bethany the admin, was patronizing to the demands of my schedule and repeatedly told me that "Dr. Ibenez will send it in when he has time. I can't pull him out of surgery or council for this." My needs as a patient absolutely put her off. Apparently, there's no set time slots or delegations in place during the work week for the insignificance of ensuring patients get their meds with some built I padded time. When I spoke over her out of frustration for her response, she threatened she'd hang up on me if I didn't allow her to finish her sentence, while offering no new solves. I'm told that due to the nature of the controlled substance, the day of sending over the prescription is based on the judgment of the doctor, you know when he has time. Am I being assumed a substance abuser? A suspicion pinned on me from them dropping the ball on antibiotics? The first go around they had notified me with a 7 day notice... Bethany should not be in a patient facing capacity until she receives further guidance and is capable of doing her job. Yeah, sure go here, Dr. Ibanez and Bethany's competence is unparalleled.
