Two weeks ago, maybe a year or more after I scheduled the appointment, I get a notice from them saying that if I don't pay them $29 immediately they are sending me to collections. No explanation of what the bill is for, nothing. I left a message with their billing office and can not reach anyone to find out what they are billing me for. I have never stepped foot in their office! Really bad customer service!

This dentistry office had trouble filling all their hygienist positions for a few years through covid, but they have been back to full staffing for about a year and once again seem to be able to schedule 6 month cleanings without a problem.

I was pregnant getting dental work here. I had three future appointments for cleaning and work that…read moreneeded finishing after I had my daughter. They called to cancel one of my appointments because the dentist had an unexpected doctor appointment, which my appointment was never rescheduled, then they had to cancel my other two for the dentist having the baby. They finally rescheduled those two, which I went to one, but the second one, I was ill. I called in advance to see if I was able to reschedule and they told me no due to multiple rescheduling. I NEVER rescheduled any of my appointments. They always did due to their issues. Now I've been put on a short call list and will be able to go in when they can fit me. I find this the worst possible customer service EVER due to the fact I am ill. I had to wait for months to be able to go in to get anything completed because of the dentist pregnancy, and now I am being reprimanded because I was trying to keep germs out of the office. Not to mention my last appointment, she was so rough, my entire outer lip was bruised, which I have pictures, and my jaw was in pain for the whole following week. Not sure how she works on children if she was this rough on an adult. Good luck if you go here, and pray you don't become ill or nothing happens to the dentist. Because they will act like they are doing you a favor for rescheduling when the dentist was out, not because you were unable to show.

I do not recommend going to River Run Dental at 1461 Greenbrier Place, Charlottesville, VA. The…read moreonly two times I went were anything but pleasant. The treatment I received was very cold, especially from the doctor. The second time I went was for a tooth extraction. That same dentist was unable to complete the procedure and sent me home with half of the tooth broken, which cut into my tongue and caused constant pain. I had to wait an entire week like that until a surgeon at another clinic could finally treat me. To make matters worse, when I complained about their poor service, they told me I wouldn't have to pay. Now, I've received a text saying that I owe them money. In the end, they're charging me after explicitly saying they wouldn't. I could have sued them for this, but honestly, I don't have the time to waste.

I don't appreciate them promoting unnecessary dental work. It makes me wonder if my dental health…read morecomes first or their profits.

I wouldn't recommend this office if it were the last dentists on earth…read more Mr. Lyons was extremely rude to me, as well as his staff, I don't understand how he even has staff. I went in for a simple filling, during the filling he started yelling at his assistant for other supplies, then he went out of the room and the dental assistant tells me that he is now doing a root canal, and she hates when starts a different procedure without telling the patient. So he started a root canal on me without even telling me or consulting with me about it! And to top it off he did a real crappy job on the root canal due to the fact that I still experience pain in the tooth. He is a piss poor excuse for a professional. On the bright side his staff were very friendly, and the dental assistant I had was excellent!
