There is a cave tour you can do before the concert for a discounted price so we did that as well. We had a great guide (Langdon?). It was about an hour in length. The doors opened an hour before we got there after our tour and we were able to walk right in. Security is thorough so bring as little as possible. Drinks were a bit pricy. Wine in a can. They also have food trucks outside of the venue but we didn't try those. There is no seating. Standing room only. I thought stage right was a little higher than left. Also a little less loud. The area in front of the stage is not very well angled so if you are short, you will likely struggle to see. While the back is farther back, it's higher so you can get a better view of the whole stage. You can pay extra to stand right in front of the stage but we did not do that. Parking lots are nearby. Someone directs you to a spot. We were fairly close to the venue door. It was a cool place to see a band play. Well worth the price of the ticket.

It's always a fun experience…read more Getting there is easy with GPS, parking is free (unless you want VIP), and there is plenty of staff directing cars in and out of the lot at the start and end of the concert. There is a bar in the cave serving a good variety of beers, seltzers and cocktails, as well as energy drinks and sodas. They also offer small snacks like candy and chips, as well as ear plugs. There is also a food truck just outside the cave, Wild Game, which served some very interesting options. I'm not sure if that truck is there all the time, but next time I go, if they are, I might try their Kangaroo or Camel Burger. Not sure where they're getting some of their meat options, but it sounded interesting. My wife and I had a great time, we went to see my favorite band, Murder By Death (not what it sounds like, just give them a shot), and as always they put on an amazing show. Throughout, they put on a projected display show on the walls above and behind them. I'm not sure if other performers do that there too, but it makes for some interesting visuals. It's such a unique venue, and if you're a music fan, I recommend going to a show there at least once. They bathrooms in the cave, and it is fully wheel chair accessible. Not a doubt in my mind, I'll be back again for MBD's annual weekend show. The venue does offer camping, as well as some tiny home and yurt rentals. So if you're looking to stay close, you can't get much closer than that. Look up their concert schedule, and go see a show! Pro-Tip: EAR PLUGS ARE A MUST - if you're coming for a concert, you can buy them there, very reasonably priced at $1, but if you have some, bring them. The cave is nothing but hard surfaces, so the sound deflects off, and loud becomes VERY LOUD.

We did like most folks and did the self guided tour. Took us about 2 hours and I think we visited everything that was open. They claimed that former staff or guides would be around to answer questions- sadly I never seen anyone. Now reasoning for my rating was based on not seeing staff for questions as well as the price. I know it's a neat historic place but $25 a person was a bit high. They did offer a small discount for military but again a self guided tour for $25 was a bit much. So I do recommend this historic place. But be aware of the cost and that your questions might not be answered.

Pamela was kind, knowledgeable, and interspersed the history of Knoxville and various buildings/restaurants as we went on our walking tour down Gay Street and Market Square. We stopped and had tastings (appetizers/small meals) at three local restaurants, tea tasting at a local tea shop, and dessert over 3 hours. The tour itself was fun to see the belly of operations for each brewery and have a few samples of their swill. We enjoyed a white stout, alt beer, NEIPAs and a lager or two. I was able to snag a burger from the Abridged Truck at Xul. What I consider to be the best smashy-burger in all of Knoxville. We all had time to snag a pint at the brewery but it was a grab and go type of thing. The tour guide Ace kept us on schedule and we all enjoyed our samples and quick history and brewing lessons wrapped into the tour. Our group had a blast and the groom had to helped to the car, so mission completed!
