His approach was to build up our strength and movements gradually to make sure our bodies could adjust. He was very cautious about not causing injury and took the time to explain the background and science behind muscle movements, strength training, importance of stretching and other components. Our workout schedule was 3 times a week and we both noticed marked improvements in our strength and muscle tone. We initially started with light weights, but improved to the point where we were using 20/25lbs weights with no problem on certain exercises. In addition to the improvements and progression we noticed in our training, we absolutely loved working with Luke. He is very genuine and truly cares about helping his clients. He was a bright spot in our lives three times a week.

We ran into some issues (there were issues before, but they had escalated due to lack of enough supervision) and I kept calling to check on the status on the waiting list. He is still adjusting as he is crying during drop off AND pick up :). But once you enter the place you can see that it is clean and inviting. Ms. Jenna and the director Ms. Andrea have been phenomenal with answering questions and they are both just so sweet. You can tell they love what they do (the day of the tour they both were decked out for St. Patty's lol) The facility itself is very roomy with big classrooms. I like also the little porch area they have for the kids to still be able to play outside or get fresh air even if it were to rain a bit or be too hot to go all the way out without the cover of a roof. It's a gated porch and each classroom has their own so the kids are secured. My son is learning many things here already and I can't wait until he starts being able to vocalize more his new knowledge.

My favorite thing about this place is that it is so rarely busy. I really enjoy being able to try out new equipment without feeling self-conscious, having my pick of equipment, etc. I was once bouncing back and forth between the abductor and adductor and someone wanted to use one of them, I told them I was happy to just finish on one and then come back to the other and they said they'd do their next machine and come back. That doesn't happen at busier gyms. It is a very co-op feeling space and I love the camaraderie. I also love that it is open 24-7. I think that also makes it feel more like the space of those using the gym. It's kind of like our gym and we all love it. However, the gym is grimy. The machines are old. They are squeaky, outdated, and don't operate the same way machines do at newer gyms. The free weight section leaves something to be desired - give us some barbells with weight already on them, etc. It's got a really solid apartment gym vibe. It has the essentials. Is it ever cleaned? I'm not sure. I wipe down my machines after I use them. I don't dust the windowsills and it doesn't seem anyone else does either. I'll keep using this gym because it's the only actual gym I've found in Belton. The price is fine if you have 2 people. It's great if you have a family. If it were just me, I would be very unhappy paying the monthly rate compared to chain gyms in Temple, but the location can't be beat because again, it's the only gym in Belton. Also, since they seem to really want everyone to feel ownership in this gym, I'd love for them to take down the "Biden Sucks" flag as working out shouldn't be politicized. There are a lot of people in Belton with a lot of different beliefs, and very, very few people are arguing about politics at the gym. Let it be a gym for everyone.

No one near me has the foresight to offer a 3 year old class and that is their loss because Storm is ready and willing to help me. The owner is interested, invested and attentive to the training. The instructors were very patient and focused in the teaching. Everybody is not of the right mindset to work with the tiniest of kids but somehow the owner was able to find a team that shares his vision to help families that are interested in learning. We enjoyed the class and look forward to more.

When the Harker Heights location first opened, it was excellent, and I still like the gym. However,…read moreI am disappointed by the lack of enforcement of basic gym etiquette. Members slam weights, leave equipment dirty, fail to re-rack weights, and set up selfie sticks that block machines. The most disruptive issue is the excessive noise. Two different members sing loudly during their workouts. One is usually there in the morning, and his voice can be heard across the gym even with headphones at high volume. I have watched other members make uncomfortable faces, stop what they are doing, and move to the opposite side of the gym to get away. While waiting for Harker Heights to open, I used the Killeen location, where this behavior was already common and staff rarely addressed it. Some members even brought personal speakers and played music aloud. I have met Killeen members who now drive to Harker Heights because they could no longer tolerate that environment. Unfortunately, some of the same disruptive behavior is now appearing here, and staff do not seem to intervene. I would be highly satisfied if management consistently enforced cleanliness, re-racking, noise, and courtesy rules.
