Ben Hentges Masonry - Natural Stone Archway

Ben Hentges Masonry

Hentges Masonry is a definite 5-star operation! From the quoting process, to working with me on…read moresome customizations and through the installation and clean up - everything was perfect. Ben answered all of my questions and used his expertise to guide me on decision making. Ben also had the skills to fix the unexcepted water damage that was behind my previous brick and was incredibly fair with the additional cost. I could not be more pleased with how this project went and how perfectly installed my stone is.... absolutely beautiful. Ben has an eye for detail, and I really appreciated that.

We have a double chimney covered with old Chicago brick. Some of the bricks were in tough shape…read morethroughout the chimney, the cap on the chimney was cracked, and so was one of the flue blocks. I did not know what to expect when I had Ben come out and look at and price it out. He replaced the broken bricks throughout the chimney, relayed the top two layers of brick, recapped the chimney, and put in a new flue block. The chimney looks better than it did when it was new - the bricks he installed matched perfect. I have some [limited] experience with brick laying and did some checking around before I decided to use Ben Hentges Masonry. I can tell you that he is competitively priced, straight forward and up front with you, and has exceptional craftsmanship. As an added bonus, Ben brought his faithful dog Bo with him to the worksite. Bo kept my three young daughters busy for a good share of the day. You can't beat that either. -Christopher Olson, Isanti MN

Heartland Masonry - The customer wanted "Curb Appeal " so we decided on 1200 bricks would give it the look he was looking for.

Heartland masonry is one of the best masons in the FM area. I was referred to him by a friend and…read morehave now referred him to my own friends and family and have also rehired him for several jobs. He has fixed my chimney, remodeled an office space, put up thin brick in a stairwell and cut down trees in my yard. I've been very satisfied with all the work Nathan has done. His quality of work makes him stand out, leaving a product that I've always been more than impressed with. With his expertise and knowledge and being able to tailor the product to what the customer wants, I have no doubt that you'll be happy with the service and product too. Masonry can be messy work but he keeps the space tidy during the process and will leave you with a high quality, good looking, affordable product that will last for many years. I highly recommend!

Heartland Masonary (Nathan Perry) was very quick to respond to me and get me an estimate. 6/16/23…read morean estimate cost was agreed on and a deposit was paid to him for materials. Nathan told me that he would have the job completed by the end of July. 8/7/23 I reached out to him to find out a timeline. He said it will be another two weeks at most but not to be pushed out beyond that. 8/28/23 he asks if he can set up, I say of course anytime. 8/29/23 he set up a scaffolding around 8am. 10:30am that same day he tells me the bricks needed are a special order and would take another week or two. I agree to wait. 10/13/23 I ask him about the brick order. 10/14/23 He says he forgot about me and will check with the brick supplier. I say ok. 10/15/23 he says he dropped the ball on things with the brick supplier, but will let me know in the morning on the situation. 10/16/23 in the afternoon I ask him what he found out. 10/24/23 I call the brick supplier to find out, they have had no contact with Nathan for a while. I then message Nathan and tell him that due to winter near, I'd just like my deposit back and revisit things in the spring. Nathan then tells me that the brick supplier is able to get the bricks and they are on the way. I call the brick supplier back to find out they still haven't talked to him. I told Nathan I would like my deposit back. He agreed. 11/22/23 I ask for my money again. He said he can only pay half right now. I said I need my full deposit back by 12/1/23 or I will have to contact my lawyer. 11/30/23 Nathan takes down the scaffolding and tells me he will drop off a check in the morning. He never did. 12/3/23 As of current, he has made no contact with me or paid a cent back.
