You are treated like you are special, they may be a little higher than having your surgery elsewhere, but you definitely get the royal treatment. The first surgery I had a male anesthetist, he was nice but I experienced a burning pain when he administered the anesthesia. The second surgery I had a female anesthetist named Mary, she gave me lidocaine to prevent the burning sensation, Thank You Mary!!! Also a Big Thank You to the Wonderful nurses Angie, Brianne, Christy, and Tara! You were all wonderful! I would definitely recommend having your surgery here.

This gentleman is a general surgeon in a very small town about one hour south of Champaign Urbana…read more I was on my way down to Granite City, IL by way of Salem, IL, first, when, awakening one day about 15 years ago, I noticed a large palpable lesion proximal to my left ear. Experiencing no pain whatsoever I thought I should see a physician and knew enough to avoid the primary care providers in a town like this. I went to the area hospital, found the best looking nurse I could and asked her to recommend the best general surgeon in the community, and that she did. I saw Doctor Boyajian later that day and was scheduled, the following day, to have the lesion I&d'd. All went well, though I did have a staph infection likely the result of being beaned by a fastball around that location 7 years earlier in high school. All in all I believe that this amazingly competent and caring gentleman did much to save my life. The only annoyance regarding the entire experience involved a mousy office manager,I believe this individual was, through whom I was forced to suffer post surgically on follow up a day or two later, who seemingly had nothing better to do with her time besides gossiping from the minute I arrived to the second the nurse called me back. I'm quite certain my next procedure, an infected pilonidal cyst treated at a VA hospital in San Diego, would have been better tolerated, sans anesthesia, than having to listen to this motor mouth for even two additional minutes. Notwithstanding this gnat like annoyance, the experience with this exemplary physician, and his entire professional staff, could not have been better. The town in which he practices is blessed to have such an incredible doctor at its beck and call.

Absolutely recommend this place to this pint in my work with them.

I met Dr. Eckstein when he briefly worked in Muncie, IN. Dr Eckstein, if you are reading this,…read morewhatever else you may have came to Muncie for, I just wanted to tell you that your mission concerning my family was accomplished with flying stars. You had to be so engaging to connect with my daughter like that in one visit, that she was willing to leave her lifelong provider behind. We were in need of diagnoses, but she wouldn't have been so ready to switch if she hadn't met you. Change is hard, but you were instant family. We walked into her first primary visit with you, without any diagnoses at all. We walked out with hope. All we got was one visit, but it was enough. When she found out you were gone, she cried. Instant. Family. Today we got her results, that she never would have gotten without your help. She has level 2 autism (along with ADHD). She has been in need of help and we didn't know where to turn. The day we met, something in my spirit just knew, right as you walked in the door, to pay attention. You looked at my daughter, really looked, and you spoke to her in an easy manner. You did what we'd call info-dumps, and it was delightful! And I've repeated a few of the things you taught us. You took your time, you were easygoing and down to earth, and you won us both over completely. We miss you, and a negative visit with her new primary (who spoke to me instead of her and spoke about her bodyweight in such a negative way that she cried all day and refused to eat; the discussion could have been had but not in a way that makes her feel diminished and disallowed to speak up in her own defense) has us wishing you were still practicing here. But, we have a diagnosis! And we can take it with us wherever we wind up choosing. Because after you, my daughter knows what to look for in a doctor. Sir, you changed our lives and we're grateful. We wish you well, and we know that all of your future patients are in the best hands they could possibly be. Five stars, if you're lucky enough to be able to get this doctor for your children, you absolutely should.
