This company imposes completely unnecessary maintenance on boilers and then charges outrageously high fees for the work. They push services that are not needed, and the costs are far above what is reasonable or standard in the industry. Their approach feels more like upselling than honest maintenance. Central Has been professional, friendly, reliable, and they go above and beyond in customer service and answering questions and making solid suggestions. No service or quote fee (as some complained about in previous years). Professional read out on technician iPad throughout the process. While it's probably not the cheapest company, it is well worth the service given. Bond and insured, all techs I've dealt with took lots of time explaining the steps to their work and there's a certain peace of mind coming with hiring quality workers. Reliability is golden. This company sends update calls when a technician is on their way---really appreciated! Reliable is scarce in this valley, and this is probably the most reliable home service ever in all our years in Whitefish! Solid. Ritchie has been out a few times and is one of the nicest human, as well as a talented electrician. He gets the job done and cleans up and he area impeccably! Just replaced our ac/heat pump with these folks. Absolutely everyone we spoke with was professional, kind and of high integrity. They could have made money on us by replacing our same sized unit but instead told us we needed a smaller unit to not overwork the ventilation system. Maybe they are not the cheapest but they are trustworthy and stand behind their product. Oh, and each one of their employees spoke highly of their employer. Incredible testimony. read more

My husband made an appointment for an electrician to come and check the electricity in our house because of flickering lights and other electrical issues we've been having. He called to confirm the appointment earlier in the week and took the day off of work to be here when the electrician came. The day of the appointment is here and no one has showed up. My husband called to inquire as to when the electrician would be to the house and was told that all the electricians are too busy and that we'd need to reschedule another appointment, but they're out several weeks and won't be able to get to us until mid October. (It's September 17th) To add insult to injury, there was no phone call letting us know no one would show up and the owners/managers are enjoying themselves at a retreat, so there is no one to make the complaint to, today. Needless to say, we're not thrilled at this point and would strongly suggest finding another company to do any electrical work for you that you may need. read more

We purchased a new Lennox furnace and air conditioner in a 21 year old house. The old furnace had a cracked heat exchanger. The installation went smoothly and the installers were enjoyable men who had expert knowledge and genuine kindness. Every technician who has come to service it over the years has been efficient, professional and fun. The two new units have made such a difference in the heating and cooling costs of the house. They also installed an icomfort thermostat, which we can control via our phone. If you need help with anything within their expertise, use them. if you want a technician to come to your home and tell you that your C02 levels are to the point of dangerous and telling you that they are shutting off your furnace right then and put a huge scare into you by saying if you start it up you and your family, children and pets will be dead in two hours then go ahead and use this company. The technician then went ahead and told us that we needed a new furnace and stack for our home because the furnace was cracked on the inside (which is was not) and the stack on the outside of the home was rusted and about to fall off. (that was untrue also) Then said we needed to order asap and was going to charge us over $4500 dollars, plus labor. This company is nothing but con-artists trying to scare people into buying things that are not needed and perfectly fine. When I called to complain to the manager, he of course was not there and I was told to leave a message. I did. Received a phone call the next day and was told that they just recalibrated their machines and maybe that was the problem. I had Northwestern Energy come out and they checked out everything and told me I did not have a leak or a crack. Not one register in their equipment of Co2. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to be ripped off! read more

Eric came as quickly as he could and stated up front what he thought was the cause of the issue and what he would likely need to do. He kept me informed as he went along and his initial hypothesis was indeed correct and he did a great job with the repair. He also explained things at length once finished, in a manner which made a lot of sense to a non-plumbing individual. Just an all-around super-nice, professional person. Be prepared for the hard sale. Will ask for your credit card number and $89 just to leave the shop. Non-refundable. Told us our hot water heater was out. $2999 for their bottom of the barrel heater with labor (what a deal!). Wouldn't guarantee their work unless we spent another $2000 for their cheapest option water softener. Tried to push financing and a decision right away because they were so busy. Had a second opinion. The only thing wrong was the water heater expansion tank was out, absolutely nothing wrong with the hot water heater. Total cost $260. Be wary. Reviews are definitely updated by employees or friends because if you check Better Business reviews, this is common practice. read more

RAPE!!!!!!!! The service guy was very nice of course - but nothing was fixed and I am out $180 just because he touched my faucet. The $89 fee no longer applied as soon as he touched the faucet - and then after he left the faucet was the same as I had it be fore he arrived- no ACTION at all was performed - they have all my money and I have no water. Then over $800 just to install 1 faucet to fix the problem - that was unacceptable and over $500 estimate to just go get the part and come back at a later date that could not be scheduled. read more

ouch! i have been shocked with an unexpected bills before, however, this was new territory. i call the company to repair a furnace that was not working. the problem was a dead AA battery in the thermostat. for this i was charged $311......and then was told "that was really quite a bargain" if that sort of price scheduling is in the range you feel is fair, then, by all means give central plumbing and heating a call ! cheers read more
