My mother & I paid cash on August 20, 2024 for an As-IS Used Vehicle... Every document said the title was "free and clear." Spoiler: it wasn't. Nearly two months later, after endless holds, "meetings," and contradictory stories, we learned there was actually a lien on the car -- something the manager admitted on video a month after he signed said papers. When title was ready to picked up two months later He continued to say "he didn't know about it" Cue round two of expired tags, overnight mail fees, and a trip to the DMV so frustrating that even they suggested we bring the police. The officer told the manager he had 48 hours to get the title. That was October 13. It finally appeared on October 18, conveniently notarized on October 8--meaning it had been sitting somewhere for days while we were still being strung along. Turns out it was at their Hillside location all along. Funny, since I called Hillside, after my 1st paper tag was about to expire and I was told, "We can't help you, it's at East Windsor." When my mom finally picked up the title, the manager actually asked her to have my sister remove her negative review. That says it all. Yes, I bought the car as-is. I didn't realize that also meant good luck in getting a title without threatening a lawsuit for Breach of Contract So if you're thinking about buying from Cars2Sell, bring a camera, a lawyer, and a saint's level of patience. Because once they've got your money, you'll need all three.

They got me financing that was lower as I have ever been quoted in the past. Gregory is the man there he got all my stuff figured out when other people couldn't. Yes there was fees yes it took a while to finalize. They put me into my truck on day one and I was happy waiting for my paperwork to finish. One thing to watch for is if your vehicle is from Canada the warranty may not transfer so be diligent in your research. With all the fees it was well below blue book.

Second, their Carfax is misleading, especially if you are buying a car that was involved in an accident. Thirdly, even though they add all these warranty cost without consulting you, they end up not covering anything when it matters most. Everything in this dealership is a mirage include their favorite bank (Ally). They wont allow you to make additional principal payment even though the contract clearly says that you can do so Everything about this dealership is just fraudulent. Avoid at all cost. I will never go back there or recommend them to anyone.

However they did not disclose several things that were extremely expensive to fix. 1st) Entire AC system in the vehicle was leaking. Wouldn't hold a charge and had to be replaced entirely. 2nd) windshield wipers were not working because the motor for the wipers was removed... 3rd) they absolutely cleared the check engine light prior to purchase without fixing the issue. After driving it 2 times the check engine light went on. This repair luckily wasn't the most expensive but with check engine lights you need to be careful. 4) i fought with them to fix the doors because they would not open from the outside... this was the most expensive fix and the doors would not open. There are a few other items in the vehicle that I'll need to repair and in total will cost 4K. Unless you are an experienced mechanic and know what to look for be careful here. They don't know what they're selling.

They get you in acting like you're going to get a low interest rate on your car loans, they tell you interest rates from like 3.5% of 17% however they can't even tell you what criteria needs to be for what bracket of interest rates. I've never taken out a loan where they couldn't tell me what criteria you to meet to see if you even wanna do business with them. Technically you could have perfect credit and you can meet all the criteria and still get 17 percent interest rate if that's what they want to give you. It is a scam. Stay away from them. They lure you in on false pretense and then can't answer any questions which as a financial Institute they should be able to answer all questions. A car salesman could answer more questions about finance than their own financial institution can answer. They lost my business on that. Could've made a lot of money off my loan, I've been with the banks and their credit cards for over 15 years, I have a personal relationship with finance as well. So this leads me to believe that they have under trained staff. Ignorance is no excuse. For anyone who's reading this, in case you are unaware, as many people are, when they run your credit if you decide to not take out a loan with them, it will drop your credit by 20+ points. If you don't take the loan, it looks like you've got denied. Therefore them not being able to answer your questions properly could result in you dropping into a credit score bracket that you won't be able to get lower interest rates because they suckered you in. If you want to Bank with them, they aren't so bad they have benefits other banks don't have. But it comes the cost because there's only one location in the entire state of New Jersey.

My payments were made on time... every two weeks they took out $213.46 (I actually paid a day before they were due). On October, 3rd 2019 I was involved in a auto accident. As a result the car was totaled by the insurance company. It appears that what the car was worth was way less than what these people were charging me. $3,000 less to be exact. I immediately contacted PA Auto Credit to see what I could do regarding the difference as I would still be liable for the difference. I received no help! They could care less! In-spite of being approved for a check from the insurance company in the amount of $8070 they were unable to renegotiate the loan for the remaining amount. On the contrary, they suggested I take out another loan out to pay the balance or see about having Peruzzi roll the remaining balance into a new loan as "they do not refinance their loans". Why would I go back to purchase another vehicle through them when what they are selling you is not worth the price they are charging? They didn't even talk to me about GAP insurance because according to them " it is not available for used vehicles). As a result of this accident I was forced to redirect one of my payments into something else... unfortunately causing me to miss one of the bi-weekly payments. As a result of this Allen found it necessary to contact me at work only to harass and demand I make the payment and to also educate me on what to expect if the payment wasn't made... To include garnishing my wages, putting a lien on my personal property etc. Really?For one missed bi-weekly payment? I have never said that I did not plan on paying what I owed! On the contrary... I have been on the phone with them almost everyday updating them, keeping them informed and trying to see what they could do to assist me. Unfortunately, according to them "they can't do anything". I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN and I encourage those of you who are thinking about it to not do so! They only care about getting their money and not the consumer. Sad really!

We have experienced an issue with them when it comes to the pandemic and losing income. We were told by a person in customer service that we would get put on a reduced payment plan, and they never put us on one even after having our car for 2 years and only 2 prior missed payments. Both missed payments due to the pandemic. But that is the only issue we have ever had. This company has worked with us and if it were not for the incident mentioned above, I would have given them 5 stars. They are simple. If you miss a payment, CALL THEM BEFORE THEY CALL YOU!!! Make a payment arrangement and if you cannot keep that arrangement, CALL THEM BEFORE THE PAYMENT IS EXPECTED TO COME OUT and work something out. COMMUNICATION is the key to having a good relationship with them. Let's face it...Flagship is a subprime lender for those of us who have less than perfect credit. So use them until you can do better! I will have to also say that I would refer them to anyone else we know. They have been faithful to honor our past payment arrangements and they only start calling you when you are 30 days past due and when you don't honor your payment arrangements. They can get VERY OBNOXIOUS with their 50 calls a day from random numbers etc... The csr couldn't give me the email address to their title department to so that I can email them the correct information regarding where my title should be sent to. One rep says a supervisor isn't available they will need to call you back in 72 hours and he disconnected the call. I spoke to another rep Angy, she took went through the entire motion as if she was writing down the correct address for the county in which my title should be sent to. When I asked her to repeat it back to me, she could not. This company is by far the worse. Evil workers for sure. We are determined to hold him accountable by organizing a class action lawsuit and working with a legal team to recover our losses and pursue criminal charges. According to reports from the China Press and Sing Tao Daily, a car owner claimed they were scammed by the same Chinese broker, Danny Lew, who tricked them into leasing a car instead of buying it--resulting in a loss of over $27,000. Danny Lew, a Chinese car broker based in Brooklyn, allegedly set up a fraudulent scheme targeting Chinese international students and local Chinese residents. He claimed to help them purchase new cars but instead fabricated fake purchase contracts and forged their signatures. Victims only discovered the fraud after paying significant amounts and receiving the vehicle, only to find out it was a leased car. One of the victims, Ms. Zhou, sought help from the Asian American Community Empowerment (BRACE) group on the afternoon of May 5. According to her account, her husband met Danny Lew back in 2014 through a friend when Lew was still working at a dealership. They purchased cars through him in 2014 and 2018 without issues, which built trust over time. In April 2023, Ms. Zhou decided to trade in her 2018 car for a brand-new Lexus 450e electric vehicle. She contacted Lew again, and he came to pick up her old car, estimating its value at $27,000. He also claimed the new vehicle would qualify for over $7,000 in federal tax credits. They agreed to use the $27,000 from the trade-in as a down payment toward the new car. After deducting the tax credit, the total cost would be around $50,000. Lew later delivered the new car to Ms. Zhou's doorstep. Throughout the entire process, she never received any contracts nor signed any documents. However, she created an online account with the Lexus financing website and made monthly payments, fully believing she had purchased the car. In February this year, a friend from Pennsylvania called and warned her about being scammed by Danny Lew in a similar way--the car they thought they bought turned out to be leased and was repossessed. The friend urged Ms. Zhou to check her own vehicle's status. Alarmed, Ms. Zhou contacted the car finance department and was shocked to learn her vehicle was indeed leased, with a three-year term ending in 2027. She then logged into her account and discovered the same: the car was listed as a lease, not a purchase. Ms. Zhou admitted she had trusted Danny Lew so completely that she never closely examined the account details. After realizing what had happened, she repeatedly contacted Lew. He initially denied everything, then claimed that a different account--one she did not have access to--was used for the purchase. Eventually, he stopped answering her calls entirely. Ms. Zhou now hopes to share her experience publicly to warn others not to fall victim to similar scams. Asian American Community Empowerment President Thomas Chan stated that they have received complaints from at least five individuals who say they were scammed by Danny Lew in a premeditated scheme. BRACE is helping Ms. Zhou file a police report and encouraging other victims to come forward. This will assist the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office in launching a formal investigation and bringing the perpetrator to justice. BRACE's Director of Administration Wang Mengxin added that other victims revealed the broker goes by the name Danny Lew, though he may have a different legal name. They urge anyone who may have been scammed to contact BRACE. Victims can call BRACE at (917) 309-5603 or (929) 999-8800. The organization is located at 476 Bay Ridge Ave, Brooklyn, and is open Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
