I've never found a musical theater dance class so I planned to take the Tuesday one with Alyssa if I recall her name correctly. We did a song from Princess and the Frog. I have a newfound inspiration I didn't even know it was a thing until Orlando's very own musical theater dance classes! It was awesome. Packed class. Front desk had good customer service. They even record and upload their dances to their yt channel, something I do for my own yt channel for dance covers I do. Keep up the great work!!

We do this when we are unable to book additional dance workshops with Disney or Universal. The Dance Collective was happy to host us and put on great masterclasses for our traveling groups. The groups have been from all over the country, and all of them had a great experiences. Many studio owners even commented that the workshops at the Dance Collective were superior to those at the theme parks (which cost them quite a bit more). The music is exactly what you'd want to dance to in a club. The studio is kept dark and is outfitted with neon lights and great speakers. Bonus: there are such good community vibes here. This, my friend, is not your average dance fitness workout... this is an experience in itself! There are different levels you can take. The most basic class is called "Break Down" where the instructor will literally break down the moves of a specific routine. At the Orlando location, Elisa and Renee are musical dance geniuses. Both are accomplished dancers and will totally rock your world with TONS of self-made routines. I have only taken classes from Elisa and Renee, but I know there are a few other great instructors that teach the classes as well. The dances are set to current, catchy and just plain 'ol freaking awesome jams. I'm not lying that it feels like you are IN DA CLUBBBB when the music starts pumping. The classes literally fly by! You have tons of fun, sweat like a PIG and leave with a big smile. I highly encourage anyone to try out a class. Just remember this motto... there are no mistakes, only solos!!! :-)

Salsa Heat dance studio has several locations spread out through Orlando, this one specifically is…read morelocated inside Gold's Gym in studio 2. The ballroom in here is huge for salsa practice so it accommodates more dance partners and more dance room. They have beginners class every Monday and Wednesday night at 7:30 to 8:30 and intermediate class at 8:45 to 9:45. The instructor is an amazing dancer so it felt kind of intimidating at first coming to this class but then she warms everybody up by showing everyone the basic turns/ footwork. Just like every other salsa heat school you have to dance with everyone there to get a feel or different dancers so the guys can learn how to lead more and the ladies can learn how to keep up the tempo. I recommend this place if you are willing to sharpen up some salsa moves and are willing to make it all look easy.

First and foremost I would like to say my daughter just completed her 6th season with this studio…read moreand my son just completed his 5th Season, I have seen some great times, some sad times and some down right weird times in these 6 seasons, but always we have come out better people and dancers. This studio has taught both kids but especially my daughter that if you work hard for something it will pay off, she started dancing later than most in her age group and took double classes for years to catch up and dance with her peers. Coming out of this 2015 season SSD won 7 1st Place National Championships. In addition, 2 of these numbers won the Victory Cup at Star Power National Dance Competition. (Victory Cups=Highest scoring number in a specific age category). Star Power Dance Competition is probably the most known dance competition in the WORLD. Yes sometimes we get REALLY loud, sometimes we yell from the seats. I'm sure if your kids danced as many hours and put it all on the stage like mine do you would go crazy for them too. Ms. Melissa produces working dancers. Many students do not like to be told what to do or be disciplined in any manner and those students sometimes move on and become successful working dancers. Their roots cannot be denied. They learned technique from Melissa Stokes at Shooting Stars. We currently have dancers working on cruise ships, Disney, Universal, Magic Dancers, Heat Dancers, Golden Girls at FSU and Dazzlers at UF. Many students have traveled the world dancing after they left the tutelage of Melissa Stokes. This past fall 5 young ladies from our studio won the Good Morning America Taylor Swift "shake it off" contest and were featured on Good Morning America with Taylor Swift! My daughter and her best friend were able to work last Thanksgiving as dancers in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. Both the Choreographer and the Parade Talent Coordinator commented on their technique and one even recognized them from previous competitions he judged. It has been my choice to remain part of the SSD family all these years. It is a choice I do not regret in any way. We are a family in every sense of the word. SSD4L

Very nasty to other dance studios. Way to teach your children good sportsmanship. The owner should be mortified at your behavior. Furthermore, many of you left garbage including leftover food and half filled drinks in the auditorium!! I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day. Well back here today and the nasty parents are here as well! The problem is they are sooooo loud that you can't enjoy the performances. They are proud and should be but please be respectful of other dancers and their parents! I'm noticing we are all applauding your students but not one of you claps for any other students!!!!

The singing was top notch and their projection was amazing! The actors and actresses were ALL very committed to their roles and the costumes were so cute and spot on! The also had a live orchestra and they played oh so beautifully. Staff was energetic very helpful and happy, which is very appreciated. I got to meet Melody, she was very sweet and kind.
