DRINK UP LOCAL I was…read moreactually heading to CVS for some adult beverages to go when I walked by this old school liquor store. I love local small businesses and decided to pop in. Honestly why would I spend my money with some corporate giant when I could give it to a Mom & Pop location. When I walked in, there was a bell on the door to alert them someone had walked in. I didn't see anyone and figured they were in the back. As I was looking around the store, I turned around and saw the owner sitting behind the counter. He startled me because I thought he was in back. He asked if I needed any help. I asked him about some prices and he was able to quote them to me with tax already added. Now that's s skill that should be an Olympic event. I guarantee the employees at CVS can't do that. I ended up talking to the owner, Andy through some light conversation. He seems like a very hard working guy. I learned his liquor store has been open for 10 years now. It is small but has everything you could want to throw a party. The day I visited he had 4 deliveries and there was beer stacked from the floor to almost the ceiling. It's not a huge place but he probably does a great business with the train and bus terminal nearby. So if you're near Jefferson Park and you need to pick up some spirits, beer or wine then this is the place for your party needs. I loved what Andy said when I left. He said, "Come back soon!" It just made me feel good and made me happy that I choose to go to a small business. Andy when I'm back in the area I'm definitely coming back to visit. Cheers to you!

They also have a small private parking lot for customers. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They can order cases of wine beer etc., for your every needs. They also loan the pumps for the kegs of beer.

I went to buy some beer the other night and I was waiting for the guy at the register to cash me out when I was buying a twelve pack of beer and he seemed like his texting on his phone was more important then customers and had me waiting minutes and no one in front of me and didn't say a word then act like he didn't want to give me a receipt. Very rude! Never going back! Will go to Binny's from now on. I don't recommend this place.

I had a disappointing and humiliating experience at this location. I was told I should "flash the card and announce it ahead of time," as if I had done something wrong. EBT is a form of assistance used by individuals facing real hardships. No one deserves to be shamed or treated unkindly for using it. A little compassion and professionalism from the staff would go a long way. I hope this business reflects on how they speak to customers and treats everyone with dignity, regardless of how they pay.

Prices are reasonable. The selection is a lot better than you'd expect from what you see outside and the service is amazing. I don't know if the older gentleman who works there at night is Randee himself, but regardless he is always very helpful and very, very knowledgeable about the stuff that they have there in stock. I am probably gonna stop going to Binny's nearby because Randee's has what we need and has really great hours too.

7:00 PM: Placed an order online for a highly sought after bottle ($249 with tax)…read more 7:09 PM: Received an email saying my order got declined...due to "insufficient stock on hand". 7:10 PM: Called the store; spoke with Nick (I think he is an Assistance GM) who told me that he declined it by accident. So he had me reprocess the order ($249 with tax) and assured me that he had it in stock and that if I provide my address, he will have it delivered to me. Told him that I will pick it up myself instead. 8:25 PM: Received an email saying my order (which was confirmed by Nick & was even ready to deliver the bottle to me) got declined....due to "insufficient stock on hand" 8:26 PM: Called the store back; this time I got connected to the GM. He first said that they do not have any in stock. Then when I pushed back with what the other manager (Nick) had told me, he put me on hold only to came back with a slightly different way to tell me that they do not have it in stock. As far as I am concerned, this looks, sounds, smells like GMs holding inventory for their friends/families which is completely bogus. If you have zero intentions of selling items to your customers, then do not put them on your website for purchase. I have been a loyal customer of Garfield's for over a decade and unlike couple of their other locations, this one in Norridge seems to employ shady managers who blatantly lie to their paying customers. Shame on Nick and the GM I spoke with.

After sending in an initial order, they gave us pointers on how many we should order and of what which was really helpful. Any items they didn't have, they communicated with us quickly too and offered substitution choices too. Delivery to our venue had no issues and they also pick up all the leftovers at the end of the night. To speak on their efficiency, the very following Monday after our wedding, that emailed us about our refund and what leftovers we had. Any items that were not opened was refunded back to us and any items that were open/chilled/damage, they set aside in the back of their store so we could pick it up from them after the wedding which was great! High recommend using their services!
